Moved in a week before my old lease ended (thank God) and my apartment wasn't even close to being ready. The toilet was LITERALLY sitting in the second bedroom and my tub hadn't been re-glazed so i couldn't use it. Had i not had another week in my old apartment I would have been screwed.
There was a bug problem (see photos) forget about leaving your windows open. Which was hard for me because my apartment REEKED of cigarette smoke from my neighbors. Glade plug-ins and candles were my friend. You can also see they didn't believe in cleaning the apartment either. There were spider webs and dust everywhere. The dishwasher photo is from day 1 of move in and of course, disgusting. The cabinets and floor were sticky. I literally couldn't open the cabinets above the stove without using a prying it and then yanking it with all my might to open it because they too, were filthy.
The previous tenant must have been a smoker because there was a cigarette stench in my apartment as well. It wasn't just from my neighbors. It was in the walls ... and as you can see from the pictures there was nicotine running down the walls everytime i showered. I scrubbed the walls for about 9 months before this somewhat got better. I'm assuming the previous tenant smoked in the bathroom. They obviously didn't clean the walls before I moved in .... they just painted right over it.
I loved the area and its convenience. Pretty quiet for the most part.
The heaters might as well not exists. There's one AC window unit for the entire apartment. You have to leave all the room doors open for it to circulate.
Most of the garages flood or have a dip so you'll scrape the front of your car going in and out. They also clear the snow too late for people that leave early for for work and when they do they push it in front of your garage so you're screwed either way. At Least on the side that I lived on which is the same side of the leasing office.
If you for whatever reason decide to move here, you also will have two neighbors who, for some sort of fulfilment, and who obviously have absolutely no lives that sit around and literally make a day of calling the tow truck on people. This information was given to me from one of the tow truck drivers lol if he thinks its pathetic (and he actually makes a profit off of it) you know they were bad!
