This south-eastern Tennessee city is home to more than 171,000 people. Chattanooga is home to some spectacular views, as there are numerous mountains, ridges and lakes within a short distance of the town. The views are so good here, that it has managed to acquire the nickname of the "Scenic City."

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is a public school that is part of the larger U of T system, and has more than 10,000 students enrolled. Chattanooga State is a community college that offers two-year programs, and which also has around 11,000 students enrolled.

Visiting Coolidge Park will let you enjoy a walk while also providing family entertainment like the Carousel or the Fountain. One of the better places to grab a drink and see some live music is Rhythm and Blues on Market Street, which has a show every night of the week.
