Im not sure why this apartment complex would get anything lower than 5 stars. I lived here when I was early 20s for 4 years and returned once I was married and with babies because I remember how nice these apartments were. Great staff, calm, quiet community, very fast with any maintenance problems. This complex has no bugs- seriously I have never seen a bug in any apartment I have had here through the years. Very reasonably priced and in a nice area of town. 5 stars for me!

Outstanding staff and affordable upgrades (healthy sense of community), I've lived here over two years and no matter what the problem they embody the concierge spirit and demonstrate they respect their tenants. I've moved into and out of a unit, into a redone unit (no stray paint, virtually perfect workmanship) and got a more than fair amount of my deposit back b/c I left the first one respectfully clean. Texas weather and structural/nuisance items are universal to renters and homeowners, people at Le Montreaux can count on the stewards of this property to do the basics without thanks and to go the extra mile without being asked. That's unheard of in some "luxury" communities. The very first month I lived here I saw exactly how LeMontreaux would respond to unimaginable flooding/leaking, meanwhile in different parts of Austin, I've witnessed newer properties suffer preventable hassles/tenants lose personal property and/or productivity due to lack of stewardship and customer service basics in "Rental Property 101". The managers there simply don't care, they don't handle the issues properly when they choose to follow through. (Can't imagine how they'd handle a disaster!) The staff here cares and react promptly when things do go wrong. The vendors and contractors they bring in for apartment "turn-arounds" do outstanding work (not a glossy attempt to hide future problems), the regular maintenance crew is handy and fast. The residents are an eclectic mix, pets are welcome. Clubhouse and amenities are way above average. I'm finally writing this review b/c a few "unlisted" or "non-residents" have taken advantage of the service-oriented, good nature I described and I recognize the trollish behavior in those reviews. To basically squat in an apartment and then leave it filthy, or other such nonsense and then resort to libel via online reviews is an injustice. Some tenants have been here for decades, senior management has also been around for a long time-- "home" is where you make it. [And they do let you customize your unit to allow for individual expression, they even help with installs]

Definitely avoid this place. Lived there for a bit more than a year. The hose makes funny noise every time I use it. The water from shower nozzle is so thin that you can count the drip. The management is a joke. Once there was a crack on the ceiling in the corridor. I reported 3 times and it took them 2 month before starting working on it. Want to know why the comments are not too bad? I wrote some true experience earlier and received an email from their managing company asking me to remove my comments and saying they will look into it. And now a month later they of course did nothing. So their strategy is to ask you to remove negative comment and hope you would forget about it.

I've been living at Le Montreaux for 3 years now. I've lived in two separate units on opposite sides of the complex. The community here is very friendly and accommodating. All of our neighbors have been genuine and considerate. I moved to this area for the amazing school district and have had no shortage of playmates for my 5 year old. The staff in the office, Angela and Vanessa, are kind, helpful, and efficient. The maintenance staff Neto and Dan have responded quickly to every request we have made. This complex is very unique in it's willingness to allow your personal space to be modified and upgraded to allow for individual expression. The pool is always a pristine and the grounds are well maintained. Truly a concierge community!

I have a good memory about staffs including Vanessa and Angela since 2013. They are welcoming me and our family all the time and pay attention to our needs such as fixes and other requests. The community pool is the best among all and my friends were enjoying it with us all the time in the past. Of course, the location is awesome to all major amanties: Costo, Lowe's, Sam's and other major shops.

My experience at Lemontreaux was not good. The staff was friendly at times but weren't as understanding when there were issues with our apartment. Unfortunately, for the first time in my life, we experienced a RAT in our apartment. We are very clean individuals and it was not due to filth but it was very distrurbing. We were forced to leave our apartment and call management multiple times to have the situation handled. They came out to "inspect" our apartment and laid a few traps but didn't seem to look for the reason for the rats. We continued to live there once the problem was "resolved" and yet ANOTHER rat was found in our apartment, making it a total of two rats within one year lease. Once again our apartment was kept very clean. So at this point we were living in fear of RATS which is something that no one should have to go through. We called management to get this handled and even had to threaten to call the city in order for them to get a move on a really inspect our apartment. Overall, the ammeneties may be nice and staff may be nice at times, but the experience INSIDE the apartment is what is most important and we had a horrible experience. I would suggest they update appliances and do a thorough inspection of the complex. I am moving after just one year lease to another apartment so take this into consideration when deciding to live here.

I have lived here for a year now and have really enjoyed it. It's an affordable apartment for what you get. I love that there is a dog park area and that the pool goes to 8 feet. You don't see that much anymore. The management staff and maintenance crew are really friendly and helpful.

I lived here for 3 years, and while I love the property, the management staff is ridiculous. We had minor things break throughout our lease - a bathroom mirror, the a/c unit, a shower head. Just basic stuff that happens with older apartments. We could not get them to replace or fix any of these issues until we refused to pay our rent until it was fixed. You have to be a bully with these guys. If you don't mind doing that, you'll be fine. Also, I started taking a notebook with me every time I talked to the management staff and I would write down exactly what they promised me and I would make them initial it. They are notorious for going back on their word. They also wouldn't give us our "deposits" for the gate openers back when we moved out. And I reserved the model unit a couple times for my parents to stay in and they double booked it both times. So you just have to stay on top of them. The property is great though. The pool is awesome and they have great pool furniture. I loved the covered parking, and our apartment was quite adorable.
