Named for the busy intersection of South Milledge Avenue, South Lumpkin Street, and Milledge Circle, Five Points is a hip and upscale Athens neighborhood just west of the University of Georgia. Known for its mix of eclectic shops and historic homes, the Five Points area is a hotspot for UGA students. In fact, many of UGA’s sorority and fraternity houses are in the mansions along Milledge Avenue. Each month, using over 1 million Rentable listings across the United States, we calculate the median 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom rent prices by city, state, and nation, and track the month-over-month percent change. To avoid small sample sizes, we restrict the analysis for our reports to cities meeting minimum population and property count thresholds.
