Overall am pleased with Glencoe Oaks. We've only been here for a few days, but for the most part it seems like a great community, at least where the 35 Oaks units are which are much newer than the standard units here. The propery is well groomed. But the unit does not appear to have received a ton of attention prior to turning it. We had to paint the walls as some were discolored and there are some glaring things lacking such as backsplash and coax in the bedrooms. There are a lot of signs of wear and tire that could have been avoided with better building materials. There is two pools and tennis courts on site as well as a gym. The office staff have a lot of turn over and there is a particular staff member that rather condescending and in general it seemed like they aren't prepared to handle the type of audience that comes with 2K a month apartment. Overall, its a nice place and will update this as time goes on. Install security and lock your cars .

Not very impressed with the staff at this complex. They have the upscale Oaks apartments but don't have staff and solutions to fit the audience its geared towards. These apartments are upwards of 2k a month and they expect you to pretty much go in blind. The actual quality of Oaks units is very nice. McKinley has security now at this complex which is very important due to ccrime. Pay Ann Arbor prices to basivally live in Ypsi.

I am a current resident and have only been here for 5 months and already looking to move. This is not a family friendly community. It is better described as a high priced college dormatory. There are more college students than families. I have been living under some inconsiderate students who thinks it's funny to drag furniture across the floor, stomp, slam things and walk hard just because they can knowing management won't say or do anything. They allow their dog, a large afghan/greyhound, to bark and romp all hours of the morning. They are loud/noisy well into the evening and start back at it early in the morning. Paying $1,800/month living amongst college students is not what I signed up for. Time to buy a house. My friend warned me about this place but I was relocating and running out of time and patience. Now I regret settling/not investigating into this community before moving in. Sad part is several families were moving out as I was moving in, I should have suspected something then.
