I am an eight-year resident of Weidner facilities, this is my second year at Terrace on the Lake. This property is fantastic, in a quiet, beautiful setting, with an EXCELLENT MANAGEMENT TEAM!! The Property Manager, Elizabeth, here for only a few months now, restores a level of effective professionalism to the position which was uneven or sorely lacking, especially last winter. Parking is a long-standing issue here; Elizabeth's plan for permitted parking offers hope for bringing order and fairness to the situation. We also have an issue with persons residing off-site leaving all kinds of trash - even building materials - in our apartment complex dumpster. I witnessed Elizabeth catching one of these culprits in the act, so resolving this issue is a priority now as well. Elizabeth usually responds promptly to queries and she is making an effort to create a sense of community - not an easy task in this age of COVID. Elizabeth is also working with and training a young man, Jody, whom I have seen helping with a variety of tasks - he is very pleasant and in good hands. The Maintenance Manager, Dan, does a STELLAR JOB keeping the sidewalks clear of snow drifts and graveled to help keep the ice in check. This property is clean on his watch and Dan is always FRIENDLY and HELPFUL!! We have submitted several maintenance requests over the last couple of months; each was dealt with quickly and ably. Dan always takes his shoes off at the door and is mindful about keeping his work area clean. These units were constructed in the 1970s, so they are not new; they are generally well maintained and, as long they are informed by residents of issues, THIS team will keep it that way and continue to improve it - this is my experience. The complex is located a stones throw from International Airport Rd. and within a few miles of Ted Stevens Airport but it's generally quiet. The property is bordered by trees which attract birds, and a moose now and then. Now if only these site managers were in control of dispatching parking lot snow removal equipment ... well, we can dream.
