This apartment offers a convenient location to downtown Anchorage and seems perfect at first glance, but it's beauty is just a facade. This apartment was advertised as having granite countertops, but they are made out of particle board and have a granite like finish. The apartment was advertised as having in unit washer and dryers, they don't. The walls are so thin at the entrance a child could punch through them. The bathroom door is so cheap it would collapse frome its hinge if a child were to try to hang on it. The carpets look nice but the floor creaks like crazy. The balcony provides an excellent view but the balcony itself doesn't seem sturdy. The oven's burners aren't secured and come off with very little effort. A full sized refrigerator isn't provided in a studio and this apartment becomes uncomfortably hot during the summer. Another thing is people smoke weed like crazy here and the smoke will without a doubt come through one of your vents, so be prepared for that. Some noteworthy positives are that the heating unit works great, so one will not freeze in the winter, the water pressure is awesome, and this apartment building has its own elevator. In short, everything in this apartment looks great but is of cheap quality. I paid $1200 a month for a three month lease, but I feel like the apartment is worth half of that.

Turned out to be the biggest blessing of the summer! My brother and I moved to Anchorage last year to work the summer season for the train. Unsure of where we were going to stay when we flew out the week prior, the building manager Leanna was so nice and willing to work with us so we had housing when we landed. The apartments themselves were clean and maintained very well, proximity to work and downtown were a big thing for us, an the complex itself was just a few blocks away from downtown. Leanna herself was very accommodating and patient with us in moving in and giving us plenty of suggestions for getting a custom to the area. In conclusion, my stay was very pleasurable, an I would highly recommend the building. I plan on coming back this year! 5 stars!

Leanna, the building manager, has been one of the best people to work with. There was a promotion going on in October, that ultimately made me decide to go with City View Apartments. It is a small place, but perfect for working professionals and military. I highly recommend. Prefect location. You will not regret living here.
