My boyfriend and I moved here about a year ago, our lease is up next month and honestly I can't wait to move out! In the beginning it was decent then I heard a shooting and there was even a stabbing. Also there are roaches, last year we didn't have problems with them. Now we are already seeing some. Also my tire got slashed too. I feel like management doesn't even care about their tenants. By my apartment building there's teenagers just throwing bottles and partying outside cause some parents can't watch what their teenagers are doing. I hardly ever see security. I feel so unsafe here. The AC sucks too. But honestly the worst place to rent! Never move here!

Don't move here! First move-in day I saw a stabbing. First week, had a stalker try to break into my apt. Overheard some black guys that lives there talk about killing someone. My vehicle was stolen. "Security" Gate there is never locked. There are no security measurements in place at all. Management is a joke. Dealt with a manager that lied to me several times. I was promised a deposit and then got the run around, in the end, they kept my large deposit and I moved out. It's not worth it to move here. Bad place with crime, horrible management, cockroaches, and domestic violence heaven. This place should be torn down.

12-30-17 The heat in my apartment hasn't worked all season. I have complained to the office several times. I have closed off my bedroom, and i'm sleeping in the living room. I turn on the oven to get any heat. The office staff has never apologized for my inconvenience, never offered any compensation, nor have they told me when the heat will be fixed. Basically i pay to live in a walk-in refrigerator. There is only one meter per bldg (this was not disclosed to me when i moved in)---- the total utility bill is divided among tenants, so if you have a neighbor with six people in a one bedroom, or a neighbor who is wasteful and whose rent AND utilities are paid for by the state, you get screwed with ridiculous electric bills. In addition, if a neighbor moves out in the middle of a lease due to safety issues (shootings, stabbings, etc) and leaves the a/c on, management ignores that apartment for months, and their unpaid utilities are added to your bill. So far, having no heat AND no help from the apartment management has been the worst experience yet (i am so cold that my nut sac resembles a pecan). Hijole !

On their website, it states "Cutting edge amenities, meticulously-groomed grounds, and a dedicated staff contributes to a higher standard of living"; this is an outright lie. This place is so substandard it is ridiculous. Takes months for repairs, serious violence is not uncommon around the neighborhood, management is so untrained in their duties, with the exception of David, who was only employee this company had that knew what he was doing. Place quickly went down the toilet when he left. You'd think after moving out I would be done with the grief of this place. I gave notice on 10/01 and was out by 10/28, turning my keys into the office on 11/01. I learned today from my old neighbor that the office placed 2 separate notices on my door, saying I owed for the month of October or they were taking me to court. Called the office to inquire and turns out the lady moron in the office never submitted my 30 day notice. So I would have been sued in error and never kown about it, if my neighbor had not told me about it. Save yourself the agrivation. This place is trashy, lazy, unprofessional, neglectful and completely NOT worth the time and frustration.

Witnessed a stabbing on move-in day, I had no other place to go so I had to continue moving in, scared living here with my little girls; Second day: some guy kept stalking my apt walking back and forth around it; Third day: two guys living on the top apt (3rd floor) were talking about killing someone; There are always cops here, but it still doesn't feel safe, this is DV heaven (domestic violence heaven) as I always hear couples yell and fight, heard a mom kick out her teen son out of the apt, hot water in kitchen gets turned off around 6 pm everyday, and I seriously regret living here. I never feel safe. Found one cockroach and maintenance is slow in fulfilling requests as my bathroom lights fell off the wall... and the kicker, less than a month living here and my SUV was stolen!!!! I'm moving out of this very demented place!!!! DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!

Absolutely awful, my boyfriend lives there and in just the few times I've been there we've had to evacuate due to his stove having what the maintenance guy said to be "the worst leak he's ever seen", he's had bed bugs, his roof leaks, they're are homeless people who follow you around and ask for money, fights constantly, and while they're are cops constantly there nothing ever seems to get resolved. Awful awful place.

I currently live at these apartments. These are the worst Apartments I have ever in my life stayed in. I have at one point lived in the war zone and I'll find it is literally more safe to live there as it is to move here. Maintenance is okay as far as responding but management really needs some help Reina is the current manager here at Canyon Vista Apartments and by far the worst manager I have ever encountered. She is very rude and almost passive aggressive. These apartments need a lot more help .constant drug usage on site trespassing and after hour partying. I have found and continue to find heroin needles throughout the site I have a 2 year old daughter to me this issue is very concerning. If you want to protect your family be in a safe environment and just be happy please do not move to these apartments they are not what they seem and they will never be a good place to live until management is dealt with.

My daughter is currently living at Canyon Vista , her neighbors have a lot of traffic coming in and out all the time . While she was out of town , her apartment was shot up , when she came home , there was a board on her window and the office complex did not give her a courtesy call to let her know this had happened . She just paid her rent for the month of July because Reina, the office manager told her they would move her into another apartment, however ,it's been a week and Reina has been avoiding my daughter . My daughter has paid rent on time , but is afraid for her life to stay there . Meanwhile office is doing absolutely nothing but ignoring her because , well , they have their rent for the month. I really thought they would of handled this promptly because of the severity . But it's clear they're priority is money and not tentants. I do not want to hire an attorney , but they have left me no choice. This is my daughter's life , and they do not care about lives. If the owner is reading this please contact me at 505_-306-7000. Your prompt response would be appreciated, because your staff is doing absolutely nothing .I would like my daughter to be safe .

Getting profiled and harrased by security cops as if like I'm some real creep. They stole my laundry from the dryer. The weirdos and homeless will follow you asking for every penny and acting like they are your friend. They burglarize been stole from motorcycle too. I've been threatened robbed assaulted followed shot at barked at by dogs and a manager when I was totally a victim.I been hit by a car. Yelled at hit by an ice cream cone a beer bottle and a homeless crack head because I didn't give him a cigarrette. Its very dark at nite no lighting. A lot of yelling fighting screaming shooting stealing panhandling bumming harrasing and the traffic entryway here is like main street and Montgomery is rediculus Soooo damn loud at note the racing revving hot rods wrecks blown out tires never ending roaring loudness chaos of these spooky Apts.

The Canyon Vista Apartments is a fantastic place to live! The neighbors are very friendly, and keep to themselves. There's no serious crime, at least in the complex itself. Every afternoon, the walls of the Canyon Vistas echo with the sounds of kids playing after school, and the evenings are typically still and quiet. I've found myself thinking, on more than one occasion, "I just love my Vistas"! And I don't think I'm the only one! You can feel the positivity in every warm face that passes you by. The management's amazing as well. They're always willing to do what they can to help you, and personally, I've felt like a member of the family since day one. If you're looking for a quick, safe, and affordable place to get in to, you should definitely consider stopping by the Canyon Vista Apartments. Hope to see you here! =)

Crime. Police always there. Two fires in four years - resulting in one building closed for over a year and one destroyed. Probably wiring or possibly someone cooking meth. Three times people came knocking on my door after midnight to buy drugs. Full of criminals and drug users - and people who rented there by mistake - like me. I didn't know this city, and the outward appearance was deceptive. Lousy maintenance. Cockroaches. Mold. Leaking roofs. My ceiling in the kitchen fell in a week after I moved in. Took them more than 3 weeks to fix. STAY AWAY!!!
