Why has the owner of the property Zaina Alwan left a review as if she was a renter and a student? That says it all

I've been a tenant for 3 1/2 years at Brandywood, and my experience has been nothing but positive. Marlene in the office is fantastic. Maintenance always attends to any request in a very timely and efficient manner. Mike always has the outside looking great. There is always parking and no vandalism since there's security. I never saw one bug this whole time. The pool is the best I've seen. The laundry room is always available and working well (!?!). For $500 a month and with all utilities paid, there is no better place in Albuquerque (or maybe anywhere else for that matter) if you're looking for a studio apartment.

It is interesting that Zaina Alwan wrote a review of the property she owns as if she was just a regular tenant. Apparently she is as ethical as the property manager was when I lived there.
I recommend this apartment complex highly VyStar if you're interested come by and tell him our and Pacheco refer you Martin Pacheco thank you
Been here two years and never had a problem. By far the best apartments on this side of town. Management is friendly and keep the place very clean.

This place is good for what it is. It's inexpensive and it is in a poor part of town, so it should be expected that it is a bit run down. However, I'm happy with my studio, the larger size one. I've lived there for about a year and a half and I have had no problems with anyone. I appreciate the security of the fences and cameras. The only time I had a disruptive neighbor, they were evicted within a month.

Lived here since 2015, and It s a great facility at a great price, as for the people complaining about bed bugs & roaches, they must have brought them there from there previous residence, because I've never had any issues, and Brandywood does provide extermination services without cost to the tenant! ... It's well maintained, and I definetly would recommend this facility!

Have lived here since 2014. Great place for students just looking for a place to crash at night. Not bad for the price. $525 a month for a little less than 500 sq. ft. studio. Pretty large kitchen.
There are roaches, but if you actually clean and make sure no food is out they stop.
Maintenance is not too bad, gotta get on them to fix stuff, but its a big complex so its not a shocker.
There is mold because of the lack of windows in the restroom, but it is easily avoided. I have heard there are bed bugs in some units, so get the place sprayed before hand if you see em.
Lanscape is very pretty, neighbors arent the worst I have ever had. The neighborhood in general is sketchy. Lots of problems outside the gates (Ive seen cars stolen, and gas siphoned) , but pretty safe inside the lot.
You get what you pay for people. Avarage rent in Abq is around $600 and your paying $525 with utilities included.

Marlene is the best thing to happen to Brandywood. The neighborhood can be rough but it is a locked and gated community. The studios are well designed and well-kept, if you can do it opt for the larger ones. We never had a problem with the property just with neighbors that liked to park in handicapped parking.
Nasty ass place, ghetto ass neighborhood! This neighborhood should be considered the warzone of ABQ!! They don't even deserve 1 star but there's no option for a 0.

Pay your rent on time for over 2 years. And they get rid of you so they can up the rent and move a string of bad people in. Has not been a safe place to live.
bed bugs and roach infestation and way too many drugs from marlina worst place ever

These apartments are awesome!!! Actually what great is the price!!! After looking and looking they were the biggest studio apartments I could find in Albuquerque. Its great too because they pay all your utilities. They have a great courtyard and for all the people living there its super quiet....I'm a student and its cheaper than any housing UNM provides too. I really just wrote this review because the ladies in the office are so nice. They took my cats!!! Anyways, the pool is great too. Im totally cool with my car in the parking lot because it gated. Cheers!!!
