Hispanics or Latinos of any race make up 41% of the population. Roughly 20% of Yakima citizens have a Bachelor’s degree or higher, and about 45% of households are made up of married couples. At YVCC, nearly a third of students are over the age of 30. Around 47% of students are White, 44% are Hispanic, and 4% are Native American. Asian, African American, and Other are all about 2%. Each month, using over 1 million Rentable listings across the United States, we calculate the median 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom rent prices by city, state, and nation, and track the month-over-month percent change. To avoid small sample sizes, we restrict the analysis for our reports to cities meeting minimum population and property count thresholds.
