Weve been here for a year now and have just renewed our lease. Found this place last minute before school started, by chance. Honestly this place is such a blessing great value, nice staff, good environment... all in all VERY worth the money that you pay. They recently switched management, and the new group has been doing great. The best part is that you dont have to worry about additional fees (utilities/internet), because theyre all included. On top of that, it is fully furnished and if youre lucky like us, all your appliances will be lightly used or entirely new.

I have lived here for a few years and I just want to say whoever owns this place I hope keeps this place. This places has gotten so much better than when I first moved in. The rent is a tad bit higher, but you no longer have to pay for power. The internet still isn't the "best" but it's better. The staff actually knows what's going on most of the time now. I know some people have said the pool isn't that great, but I like it just fine. It goes up to five feet. The gym is great too. There's also some trails very, very, very close to the complex. The club hosue (office) looks much better as well. It's actually a place you could actually go to study now. They also have a few rooms that reduce noice you could reserve. The only complaint I have is there have been a few weird emails we have gotten from them. Like, we've lived here for 2 years and we just got an email that said they were so happy we were moving in, gave the date we moved in (2016), and titled it "roomate notice". The address was wrong but the apartment number was right. They've done this kind of thing with rent too. It's a glitch in their system (as far as I know, and according to how it's been explained to me). Other than the very small issue I just named, this place is great. If something breaks they actively try to fix it as soon as possible. Communication between staff and residents has improved. They have a lot more "fun things" they do in the office. Like, last week they had treats for the residents in the office (club house). The best thing of all! They are fine with pitbulls (from what I've seen. there are quite a few people here with them). It's nice to live somewhere where they're not ignorant about dog breeds :)

The internet is horrible. I just did an internet test and the download speed was 0.21 Mbps I couldn't get the upload speed after waiting 20 mins for it, so I stopped the test. Rent was raised for this and the fact you don't have to pay electric anymore. The internet upgrade were said to improve internet speeds. I can't even watch YouTube after 5pm. Every day. Without fail. 5pm. The internet doesn't go back to "semi-normal" until around 10pm. The internet will also rest randomly. Where it used to rest every morning around 4:10am it will now rest randomly in between 12am - 5:30am and at random days. It won't rest for weeks and then randomly rest one day. That's the only real negative thing about this place though. The gym is nice and they pretty much have everything you need in there to work out. The pool is nice. The staff is very understanding, knowledgeable (in most cases), and they actually listen to and try to take care of your problems. I've lived here for 2 years, and in that 2 years there's only been one major party that cops had to break up. Other than that it's pretty peaceful. When it comes to rent don't miss it period. My husband was away for training with the military. We told the staff 2 months in advance and at least once a week before he left that the rent was going to be late due to my husband being away for military training. They said it was fine and that we didn't have to worry about. The rent was only going to be 3 days late. Next thing I know I'm getting an email from the staff 24 hours after missing the rent date that $50 would be charged for every day that the rent wasn't paid. Then they said after a specific time we'd be kicked out (the time was long enough to where we didn't have to worry about getting kicked out). So... Don't miss your rent date. They don't care what the reason is.

Village West is one of the best places I've lived. They have updated an renovated so much of the property, it's like new. The office and maintenance staff are super friendly and helpful. I will admit that I had some problems when I first came here but since then they have helped turn that around completely! Close enough to campus but still a beautiful scenery with the celery bog super close and they provide a shuttle to campus that always works! Super glad to be renewing here.

It is a great place to live if you dont care about having terrible internet connection. If you like to game online then you should count this place out. Internet speeds can be as low as 30 kb/sec upload and 2 or 3 Mb/sec download (very slow). Just fyi the toilets are extra small and are extremely uncomfortable if you have an average to large sized member (clearly the toilets were picked by a woman). Also the bus to and from campus is unbearably long (30 min) from physics to village west. Other than that it is reasonably priced and the maintenance staff are pretty cool and responsive. They are also pretty good about fixing stuff that breaks. And the gym is nice, and clubhouse is cool cause it has free coffee 24/7. And pool in summer is open. Sometimes the clubhouse will have free food also. One last thing. The lease is extremely comprehensive (too long to read) so they pretty much own you. Trying to get make any changes to your lease or negotiating anything is essentially impossible. Once you sign that lease, thats it. They have own you.

GREAT place to live! This is my second year living here. Cheap rent and awesome amenities. The free shuttle for residents is perfect. I'm a Purdue student with no car so it makes getting to class super easy. The wifi isn't great but they're in the process of revamping it, so I'm sure it'll be better soon. Overall, perfect place for a student to live. Would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Came up from Missouri to move my fianc into an apartment before starting the fall semester. The place we went to was a nightmare, after some research we found Village West. Called them, a wonderful lady took our call had us come in for a tour within the hour and was very accommodating with our last minute apartment switch. Prices are reasonable (especially considering a gym, pool, your own locking doors for a shared apartment, free study rooms, coffee machine, a free shuttle service to Purdue, and more). We had a wonderful experience thus far and would recommend.

The amenities here are awesome! I loved taking the shuttle to and from campus during the school year. The new fitness center is really nice and they have cookies and a nice coffee maker in the office. I would live here again if they had unfurnished apartments. The updated apartments are really nice and for a good price!
