I have lived here for 1year from 10/19 to 10/20 and it has been an weird experience. I like the amenities and the washer/dryer it sometimes takes more than 2 hours to wash my clothes, but I refuse to use the laundry room it's for the most part not too secure, it's never to clean during the Pandemic. The maintenance service is ok, until I complain last early about my AC in the bedroom which in the winter it's the coldest room in my apartment. It still hasn't been repaired yet and this is 2021. I had a problem with management but after I submitted a letter to Corporate things have been fine. Consider other problems I experienced with a neighbor was insisted that I requested Management to move him or there will be consequences because he was harassing me and disturbing my peace, I appreciate how Professional Management handled the problem with with the concern I had. I anticipate a better year, the complex is nice and if anyone want some peace I would recommend them to the Metropolitan Apt. and the area is convenient, to bus and subway if you prefer walking it's only 5 minutes away. It's nice if you like the area living here you have to experience with your own discreet. It's not quiet on the weekend, doors slamming, the nuisome neighbor still resides in the building. Other than this problem it's ok!

Emmanuel who is in charge of maintenance is always courteous, excellent in his response time and take care of any issues in a timely manner! I would recommend this Apartment complex to others.

I've lived here for almost 6 months now and can honestly say that I made the best decision. For DC, the price is extremely reasonable for beautifully remodeled units. The common areas/hallways are constantly cleaned and the employees are extremely kind. Water is included and electric is always on the low $ end with the external AC/heater units so that's a definite perk. Cons of this place are that they allow people to smoke cigarettes in the units so you can often smell it in the hallways, the washer/dryer unit is terrible (I don't even use it) so if you choose to live here you'll need to budget $ and time to use the pay units in the lower level and it doesn't have a community room (yet). Other than that, this place is great and I love the neighborhood! Always street parking available (just familiarize yourself with the restrictions).

This an absolutely fantastic place to live. Great apartments, beautiful courtyard, and pet friendly. The manager, Russell, is always quick to respond and mediate any concerns. Emanuel, the maintenance guy, is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and fixes things quickly. My neighbors are respectful and issues are usually resolved resident to resident. This building is a mix of young professionals, older folks, and families. That means it's quiet after midnight every night . If you are looking for a place where you can play loud music all night --- keep looking. You won't be happy here because people will complain. If you want a place to live your life in harmony with your neighbors, have a little peace in the city, and live in a place with responsive and respectful management -- then the Metropolitan is for you!

If I ever had an issue, Emmanuel (the maintenance associate) helped quickly. I had such a pleasant experience living there :) I would recommend The metropolitan to any and everyone.
