PETSCREENING IS A PART OF THE APPLICATION PROCESS FOR ALL APPLICANTS.
A welcoming environment is paramount to all of our residents. To help ensure ALL of our residents understand our pet and animal-related policies, we use a third-party screening service and require everyone to complete a pet profile, a “no pet” profile, or request accommodation for an assistance animal. This process ensures we have formalized pet and animal-related policy acknowledgments and more accurate records to create greater mutual accountability. Vie at University Downs is a pet-friendly community; however, you must have written permission of Management in a form of a signed "Pet Agreement." The Community allows one pet per resident, not to exceed two pets per apartment home total at any given time.
Owners are required to confirm that their pets are up to date on all vaccinations. Weight and breed restrictions apply for dogs. Dogs may be no larger than nineteen (19) inches at the shoulder and thirty (30) pounds in weight at full growth. The following breeds of dogs, full blood or mixed at any percentage, are not permitted at any time: Pit Bulls, American Bull Dogs, German Shepherds, Great Danes, Huskies, Rottweilers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Dobermans, Chow Chows or any other breed of dog that is known to be dangerous, or that is banned by local law.
The pet registration fee is $300.00, with a $25.00 per month pet rent.
