Many areas of Troy are quite safe. For example, Pleasantdale, Sycaway, Cropseyville, and Brunswick Center areas are all safe places to live. The annual Troy Turkey Trot is one of the largest road races in northern New York, and the Flag Day Parade is one of the largest in the nation. A few locations feature live music and shows, like the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall. Troy is not quite bustling with special events, but does have a fair amount of annual festivities.
