Tall Grass Apartments is an awesome place to reside. From the first moment we got there, they have always been friendly and welcoming, especially with this being our first time living in this city. Any issues we have had maintenance wise they are quick to respond to. The pool is of decent size, they allow pets, and they have a small gated yard in the back of the complex for dogs to run around, which is perfect for our 6 month old puppy. The people who live in our building have been friendly. And, best part for college students or families just starting out, it is very affordable. This is a great place to live, no matter who you are.

Hands down the best apartment complex in Springfield. It has the best management staff and a great maintenance staff. The interior of the apartments are nice and even have the option to be upgraded to a more modern look. My dog loves the dog park. :). The location is central to anything and everything in the city. SORRY, But I feel I must warn people. For the past year and half I have had a great time living at Tall Grass Apts The mgt. WAS great and helpful. The place WAS really top notch!
Unfortuantely,that all changed about a month ago, when a new owner bought the property. Encore Management Company (out of San Antonio, TX) was hired by the owner to "MANAGE" the property.. THE ONLY THING THESE PEOPLE HAVE "MANAGED" TO DO IS TREAT PAYING TENANTS LIKE MYSELF WITH NOTHING BUT DISRESPECT.
Just my luck our A/C goes out in the apt. 2 weeks after start "managing" the apts. This type of thing would have been dealt with immeadiately by the previous owners, TheWootenCo.-(GREAT PEOPLE BY THE WAY).
Long story short....WE HAVE BEEN WITHOUT ANY A/C FOR 2WEEKS NOW!!! From the site manager to the distict manager, to the corporate manager,and even the owner I have gotten nothing but a bunch of excuse making, buck passing, and flat out refusal to help AT ALL!!!!
Its people like Encore Management Company that give real proprty managers a bad name. They are charging $700 - $1100 a mo. rent and acting like slumlords.
DO NOT RENT AT TALL GRASS APARTMENTS!!!!
