The Springfield Gay Pride Week is a big event in early June, and throughout the summer, events like the Hoop City Jazz Festival, Armory Big Band Concerts, Italian Feast Days, Street Arts Festival, Caribbean Festival, and Festival of Big Balloons at Thanksgiving, makes Springfield a lively city to live in. Springfield’s nightlife scene is very famous, specifically for its LGBT friendliness. The Club Quarter has over 60 bars and clubs, most of which are around Worthington, Stearns, and Chestnut Street. Theodore’s Booze, Blues & BBQ has an awesome bluesy atmosphere, great live music, and everyone has a good time. The Hippodrome, Skyplex, and Oz are the three most popular dance clubs locally. For karaoke, hit up Rory Fitzgerald’s, there are a few places to play pool, like Smith’s, right above Theodore’s, and some fun bars include Paddy’s Irish Pub, Sophia’s, Mingle’s, Donovan’s, and more.

To avoid small sample sizes, we restrict the analysis for our reports to cities meeting minimum population and property count thresholds.
