Okay dont read any review more than 4 months old. Westminster just purchased this property and they are a top apartment complex company out of New York. They are branching out to the South and this is one of the first buys. Since taking over in only a few months they have multiple contractors doing full remodels! The pool has been completely re done and the gym was ripped out and completely redone. They just replaced all the signs and replaced all the building lights. My apartment had serious issues from the previous company. Westminster hired professional contractors who came in and pretty much rebuilt the unit from the studs. All the apartments are getting new windows and they have big plans for landscaping and an outdoor recreational area. The lake is very nice and I heard they are about to have it professionally cleaned and its well stocked with fish. This company has a long term plan and are putting millions of dollars into the property. The old companies were terrible Westminster cares as they own and manage their properties. My apartment has all new stainless appliances, all new light fixtures, refinished bathtubs brand new bathroom cabinets with granite and even new toilets. All the flooring is brand new the kitchen has all new cabinet doors and hardware and has real granite! The property was built in the 1990s so yes there is work to be done, but unlike previous owners they are getting the work done daily! Also they cleaned house and have new staff thats on top of everything so these old complainants about rude staff and bad maintenance are things of the past. Southaven Pointe is up and coming. Also the location is prime and the area is very safe unlike other places. Last but not least the manager Lisa has got to be the nicest and hardest working property manger Ive ever met!

The pool patrol kept the trash away (also referring to persons not living there), and they order great food for residents/ tenants during various events like resident-appreciation. I even was invited to promote my Holland Meissner books at an event. Had a great time and there is a gym there too.
