Skyline College

Skyline is in Western San Bruno, two miles east of the Pacific Ocean. Four miles south is the naturally stunning Pacifica State Beach, and four miles north is Daly City, and if you drive fifteen more miles past it then you’ll be in downtown San Francisco. Most off-campus students live in San Bruno, which is huge and has a lot of great neighborhoods for students, or nearby in Daly City, South San Francisco, or Millbrae. If you’re commuting to Skyline, you will most likely be taking Interstate 280, which can suffer from congestion during rush hour. What Skyline lacks in size it makes up for a level of education that far exceeds its junior/community college designation. It consistently ranks among the best community colleges in the state, most recently in a study that examined the schools that best prepared a student for a transfer to an independent school. But students who don’t transfer are able to graduate from almost a hundred Associate’s degree/certification programs. Skyline is also considered one of the most diverse colleges in the area.

Each month, using over 1 million Rentable listings across the United States, we calculate the median 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom rent prices by city, state, and nation, and track the month-over-month percent change.
