Best experience I have ever had living in an apartment complex. Lovely creek running through the complex. Quiet with nice neighbors and friendly onsite management. Animal friendly. Comes with full washer and dryer. I recommend this complex to anyone who is struggling in the current rental market, this place saved our family and we were happy to call it home. I met many other neighbors who had lived there happily for years.
The apartments are nice and quite large. Come with full size washer and dryer. At this time no extra charge for water or trash....

The problem is the management company is in Portland. The manager does not live onsite. Office hours vary so it can be hard to catch the manager either in person or on the phone. Main office often overrides managers decisions which is frustrating for tenants and manager alike. The deposit charged is extremely reasonable, but the monthly rent has gone much higher than what these plain and simple apartments are worth.

Looks like a great little community, but they don't seem to care much about getting new residents! Me and my wife applied, but ended up becoming denied with a very vague discription of why. We spoke to the apartment manager, who said she would check into things and call us back the next day. It has now been two, going on three, with no phone back. When ever I call, I only get a voicemail and if I leave a message I'd be lucky if I even get a return call back. I personally don't understand how you can run a business when you don't seem to care about getting new residents or helping those, who want to live there, figure out why they were denied so they can hopefully fix it.

Management is not caring for circumstances that can arise tenants. I got my new car towed from the general parking because I did not have a parking permit in it yet- I had no warning and no mercy- I paid 250$ to get it out and was told to get the permit ASAP. I informed them that I was headed to Cali for a family emergency and would get it once I was back. I got back last night past 5 so the office was closed, I decided to park in my coveted parking spot that's reserved for me and my roommate. At 1am this morning a tow truck began towing my car and I explained "you guys towed this a week ago and I only just got back from my trip, please I will get it in the morning." Despite the explanation I received no mercy and they took my car. I cried and cried because this was the second time and I had no way of paying for it again after paying to file custody papers for my son. My mother calmed me down on the phone and told me that since I do indeed live there and pay rent on time that management should be willing to have my car returned with no fee. The next morning the situation was brought to the managers attention and she denied helping me. She had the ability to tell the tow company to release my car but she CHOSE not to. I honestly thought management would have some mercy after knowing my situation and I'm still disgusted in realizing that they do not have my back.
If you want to feel cared about in a happy community I highly suggest looking elsewhere.

A friend and I signed a 7-month lease and we were both listed on the lease. We put $1,000 down to secure an apartment. Less than two days before we moved, my friend had a family emergency and had to leave the state.

When I showed up at Woodbrook with a moving van and movers, I was informed that because my friend was not with me, I could not move in. We both had to physically be there. When I explained the nature of the emergency, both the manager (Mandy) and the management company (Liberty Management) didn't care. I could not move in. I asked them to rewrite the lease. They refused. Could my friend call them and explain the emergency? No. They took my money and denied me housing.

I was able to secure another apartment in a different complex that day (very fortunate), so it wasn't the disaster it could have been, but when I asked for my $1,000 deposit back, Liberty Management told me it was nonrefundable. I cited Oregon Revised Statutes and said I'd see them in court, where they would be paying me double. They gave me my $1,000 back within 2 days.

The manager has no say or authority at Woodbrook, and the management company is indifferent to its tenant's needs. There are far better places to live in better areas of Salem.
