Hey, the rent is very inexpensive for a 2 bedroom 2 full bath apartment. So with that mentioned, no you are not going to get cherry oak cabinets, granite countertops, brand new hardwood floors, or stainless steel appliances. KEEP IT REAL PEOPLE! You get wut u pay 4! Yea, da appliances are old but I wasn't paying over $900 per month a 2bedrm 2full bath unit! Nearby high school (Franklin High) worked for my child! Nearby shopping and erything w/swimming pool and gym on-site! I can't complain! However, if you don't have a car...walking to public transportation is a hump. Property management and maintenance were extremely nice and a pleasure to work with. I've not had one problem with them. I paid my rent on time though (try automatic rent withdrawals from your bank account - builds good rental history without a hitch)...so, i can't sympathize nor empathize with the thumbs down comments. Not to say their experience is fabricated...but i'm just tellin you about mine. Although, a neighborhood and/or development is not GHETTO...but the people who live there may be. Some of my neighbors were a bit "ghetto" but again...I mind my business and as long as they were over my head or keeping me up with the noise and/or outside drama or drug distribution etc., I allow people to be them. I MIND MY BUSINESS. LOL When i reported a maintenance issue, I had to send maintenance man away b/c they came w/in hours and on the same day while I was cooking and entertaining my guests. Impressive for me. My maintenance turnaround was always very quick (same day but no later than the next day - problem would be resolved). As for parking..it's a bit tight when you come in late, but there is always a spot at the top of the court or somewhere nearby. I lived there for 2 years and never saw one roach! Then within the last year of residency there, one of my NOT SO CLEAN (Nice but NASTY) neighbor moved from one unit to the next within the building..and HER roaches were like the prisoners escaping during Hurricane Katrina! Running wild! Exterminators came out, but I resorted to doing my own thing. I had to put down boric acid mixed with sugar to COMPLETELY RID them! Within 3-5 days...they were voile' (gone)! At no cost do I live with bugs or rodents! As for mice/rodents; never witnessed it or evidence of them THANK GOD! But people listen! If you have people from all over the world/country/state/wutever moving into your building and bringing their roaches, rats, mice or whatever with them...wut do you expect? Apartment living has shared walls! So, protect your space and do wut i did...KEEP MY PLACE VERY CLEAN, PUT DOWN BORIC ACID W/SUGAR, AND LIVED ON THE TOP FLOOR...b/c im not fond of other people's children or pets running over my head. In essence, I thought & planned ahead. Butler Ridge worked for me while I transitioned and stacked my money to purchase my home when I moved out. And I left other peoples roaches, kids, pets, drama etc. in Reisterstown! It's what you make it! But, trust...Lynn and Dee; they were very nice to me and I would recommend someone who is looking for a nice place to live; for a very reasonable cost. Afterall, I made my place safe, noise and drama free.
