I have LOVED it here. I planned to stay the rest of my life here. the location is excellent, and while these apartments are not "brand spankin new" and fixtures etc are a couple of decades behind, all are maintained well and the apartments do not look in the slightest bit dumpy. Except for a couple of units, but that is only due to SLOBS who live there who the owners have found it just about impossible to evict. Real Propery Management took over ownership January 2015, and because RPM do not participate in the HUD program, nor are they required to (hmm, interesting that a lot of tenants here are ON HUD and are on SOCIAL SECURITY DISABITILY), they LEGALLY CAN and have evicted residents (for refurshibing) . The only reason myself and about four other residents out of approxiamately 100 + have been able to stay until now, is due to being in our first year on the HUD program, and niether of the parties can insist we leave until our year lease is over. It makes me sad.. There were a few rough spots when some truly awful tenants moved in and the place was like a drive thru dope den, due to the former owners lousy "decision" to hire a convicted felon to be our on site manager for a spell, and of course he APPROVED rental applications for a swarm of his buddies. Thank God we prevailed and though evictions can be tedious and time consuming, we got them OUT OF HERE. Other than THAT, I have absolutely LOVED LIVING here and am so sad to have to leave. It does console me that I am buying a house, albeit humble, very nice and neat and lots of foliage and the street is well kept and there's not a bunch of cranksters tearing their cars apart at 3 a.m. and revving the engine and/or beating the crap out of each other lol
