Apartments themselves are not very nice, liveable but not the best, theyre old and are not kept up very well. The worst part is the management staff. They dont relay critical information well amongst their tenants. They are nice enough if you need to pick up a package but when it comes to ending a lease or extending a lease they do not give all the information you need and then expect to send in more than you were originally expected to do. They respond to legitimate confusion with hostility and irritation.
Very quiet neighborhood and staff is friendly. Safe and perfect location! I love living here.

Laurel Oaks is a great place to live! I've been here almost 3 months. The office staff has been very responsive and friendly. My neighbors are friendly too. It's a safe area. And I love being able to walk 5 mins to Lake Lynn (there's a shortcut!)
I lived here a year and I thought I wanted to stay here another year. Until I needed the apartment to come and fix...
I lived here a year and I thought I wanted to stay here another year. Until I needed the apartment to come and fix my front door. They sent a new guy they just hired to fix my door and he stole my credit cards out my wallet and my tv unit. When I reported it to the apartment they to me that I would get a rent credit then went back on it, and told me they don't have any proof he stole the items. But here's the thing he was the only person in the unit at the time. I was in the office talking to management when they sent him in to my unit. So how is there no proof, it was there before I went to the office. I have never lived an where were the maintenance staff steal from you.

Ann was very nice! I really enjoyed my tour with her. The model looked fantastic, but they had a lot things that aren't necessarily included in the model. The grounds were a little ugly. Part of their walls were held in place by large sticks of rebar. Could be a bad accident waiting to happen. Good deals on their 2 bedrooms. Had to go elsewhere due to better location.

Third time editing this review. I will say upfront, I don't know if management was more responsive this time around because of my review or just because they got their business together, but either way I am grateful that they took our issues seriously. All of my previous complaints were dealt with within a week. I will say most changed is my opinion of their maintenance department. This was my first experience dealing with them directly (my husband has been more involved than I) and I've just got to say I found them to be knowledgeable and very polite. The work order was put in two days ago for a fairly complex problem and they were here as soon as they could be. I am very satisfied with their help. Maggie in the office has been very helpful straightening everything out (not to mention very patient with me), she really is awesome.
The pros of the apartment: Affordable for the area. Well located. VERY quiet community. Polite and intelligent maintenance staff. Responsive office staff so long as you are very straight forward. (I tend to be a bit passive aggressive, don't be like me.)
The cons: Still expensive for the square footage. One dumpster that is better situated for the buildings in the back of the complex. Bizarre rules about what you can/can't have on your porch (they want a uniform appearance on the outside so no hanging anything or flower boxes on your railings). Awful parking for our building but it seems the farther into the complex you get the better the parking options are.

My stay so far in Laurel Oaks has been exceptional! The service I received from Sarah from start to finish in finding a new home has been great. She's incredibly helpful in showing me all the benefits of living in Laurel Oaks, as well as using great communication ensuring that the apartment was in it's best condition prior to my move in. It's not luxury, but you will feel safe and comfortable here. I like the neighborhood as it's not the typical huge building with 20+ apts. The apartments give a more private feeling being in a wooded area. The last bit of information I'd like to pass is that the team here has made it very clear that they are here to provide an exceptional experience. The morning after the latest overnight snow, they maintenance crew were out cleaning up sidewalks/walkways... Much appreciated. Thank you!
