If you want an honest review of these apartments do not waste your time reading the top reviews. Yes the amenities are very nice however the management team is by far the worst I have ever dealt with. I spent $150 on a professional carpet cleaning service to clean the carpets in my apartment and was charged over $400 to replace all carpets due to a small pet stain. And yes, the $300 pet fee is not a deposit it is simply money in managements pockets. If you plan on having a pet expect to pay $300 for the pet fee, $300 for a security deposit (that you won't get back), and $400+ to replace the carpet in the apartment. Don't ask questions about any of these either without getting an attitude from the staff either. Do yourself a favor and move into any of the apartments in North Hills, as The Allister's management team is truly abysmal.

Where do I begin. First I would like to point out that most of the reviews on here are because they are given incetitives to write a positive review. We moved here due to all the good reviews and everywhere else that we looked when moving to Raleigh is just trash with a high price tag. This place is no different. It's full of stuck up, single, disrespectful young professionals who all own gigantic dogs. Managment is practically non existent except for when they need you to abide by their extremely tight rules. But when it comes to excessive noise disturbances or other issues they are essentially powerless. I never pay attention to reviews that say "the walls are paper thin....you can hear everything blah blah blah" because come on...if you live in a cement room with people on all sides of you, it's a given that you're going to hear noise. But I am dead serious when I say the walls really are PAPER THIN!!!!!!! My god I have never lived in an apartment that is so excessively noisy in my entire life. You will hear the constant sound of leaf blowers running outside, people's garbage cars and trucks blaring music or the sound of their motor to make up for their tiny ego (I don't know how such trashy people afford such an expensive place..perhaps this is the norm in Raleigh) you will hear the banging steps and echoing barking of a gigantic dog living above you because pretty much every single person who lives here flaunts a huge ass animal living in a tiny little apartment. I just can't stress enough the noise. NOISE NOISE NOISE NOISE NOISE NOISE NOISE NOISE NOISE NOISE. That's all I hear from every direction everyday at all hours. And when there is multiple dogs barking, leaf blowers, doors slamming, banging footsteps coming through the ceiling and blaring music from the trash that lives here all at one time. You begin to question your own sanity. There is NO peace. I regret moving to Raleigh from the bottom of my soul. I miss my peaceful, respectful neighbors in every apartment I lived in before I moved to NC. There is a never ending list of issues that come along with the keys to a Unit at Allister but I felt it was important to stress the reality of the noise issues here. If you have absolutely no respect for others, a giant horse for a pet, and you experience withdrawals when you don't get to party and shove gallons of alcohol down your throat every second of the day, you'll fit right in.

Allister apartments has to be the worse run business in history. Trust me when I tell you this. 1) I came home one day for lunch because I had a meeting close by for work and I walk up to my apartment door and it is WIDE open!!! To my shock,the maintenance man was inside. After confronting office personnel and telling them hat they had no right to be there, they literally argued with me to say that they had...via email. So, I demanded them to show me this email...they had not notified me. No apologies from them. 2) I set up bill pay with my credit union for the rent. Please bear in mind that I have used this service many times en route to my current 820 credit score with no issues ever except for with these people. One month, I get notice from them on the 2nd (they give you to the 5th each month) that they were starting the eviction process with me! I show them that funds had indeed left my account via my online portal. They argued with me all while I am showing them proof positive that the money had been taken from my account. When they finally fixed THEIR internal problem, no apology at all. 3) They make you prepay $100 to clean the carpets upon your move out. When I left my apartment after living there for 2 years, yes you guessed it, they tell me that they are keeping my $300 deposit because they have to replace the carpet!! The carpet was immaculate when I left except for a 12 by 24 inch area where I had a small bookshelf. There was a slight nuance that was left because the carpet was still wet when I moved in...the apartment was not ready. I have moved this fixture many times with no marks left. Any professional carpet cleaning would move that hardly visible stain no problem. But not theirs and they tell me that they have to replace the entire carpet. These people are rude, unprofessional, dishonest. I do not recommend renting from them. If you have ANY dealings with this company you will be unhappy I pledge to you.

I have lived at Allister a little over a year and love it! The location is amazing as it is across the road from the North Hills shopping center, but far enough away that it is serene and quiet. The apartments are nice, the amenities and grounds are clean and updated, and the staff are friendly. The gym and yoga room are very updated, and the saltwater pools are glorious in summer. I would highly recommend!

I have lived at Allister for about 5 months now and have loved it from the start. The staff is super friendly and made me feel so welcome when I moved in. The surrounding area and neighborhoods are safe and I feel very comfortable going on runs at night. I have a dog as well, and we both enjoy how dog friendly this complex is. The dog park is extremely convenient and she has made a ton of furry friends. I highly recommend Allister!

I moved into Allister a few months ago and I love it here! If there's ever an issue, maintenance is very quick to resolve it and every person on staff is pleasant and helpful. The grounds always look nice, the pools are beautiful and clean, there's a wide range of gym equipment, and there's plenty of parking. PLUS, the actual layout of the apartments is great for hosting people and the bedrooms offer great storage. For the convenient location to North Hills shopping and proximity to downtown Raleigh it's a real bargain to live here.

The apartments are well maintained and close to almost everything around town. I am a dog lover and see a lot of furry friends around me. The complex also has an electric car station, totally worth it!

I've had a good experience working with Ciara at the front desk. She has been attentive and a problem solver. My husband and I just moved here from Oregon almost a month ago and could not be happier with choosing Allister. Noverlys helped us find a great apartment with lots of light and big kitchen island (my two must-have's). They do fun events for the community which makes it nice to meet people you live by. I love their clubhouse, it's a great place to get work done by day, and chill out by night. Everyone here has been really helpful and super nice. We're very happy here so far!

Loved the location and loved the interior of the apartments. But, the trash situation is very difficult because the trash compactor overflows frequently and you really need to load your trash into the car and drive it to the dumpster area which is not nice for your car interior and very inconvenient. When I left there was a small stain on the carpet that I was not aware of as I was not the last person to leave the apartment. I feel very bad about it but management did not alert me to it until 2 months AFTER moving away and promptly emailed me a bill asking for over $600 to replace ALL the carpet and to be paid immediately!

I have lived in Allister for an year now and this is a very nice place to live. The location is great, staff is very friendly and all my maintenance requests were attended to pretty quickly. The pool areas are great. The downside is the cost. Besides the location, the rent is way too much for what one gets back. If your priorities are living close to a mall or the Interstate, you could consider this place.

The staff hosts fantastic community events for the residents and are very warm, personable, and easy to communicate with! The complex is super pet friendly, which is a HUGE plus in my book (also does not hurt it's in walking distance for walking / jogging trails)! I would recommend Allister to new people re-locating to the area as well as locals who love to go out and explore all Downtown Raleigh / North Hills has to offer!

I have lived here for 3 years and the way they treat the residents is awful. You ask for things to get done by the people working in the office and they don't. They lie. I would not recommend living here. There are a lot of other places in North hills that are a little more expensive, but worth the price.

I absolutely LOVE living at Allister North Hills! It is pristine with a convenient location to everything, and the staff is extremely friendly. Also, the maintenance requests are attended to very quickly, which is super helpful. Just went to one of the two pools we have here for the first time, and you would think that you were visiting a resort - it's gorgeous! I have also frequented the 24-7 fitness center quite often, and it's immaculate. By far the best apartment complex I have lived at! :)

We're new residents to Allister North Hills and we couldn't be happier with the decision we made to live here (moved from Northern Virginia)! The staff has been amazing to work with and the apartment itself is modern and roomy! Lots of shopping and dining a stones throw away and you can walk off all that great food with a stroll down the Greenway which is right around the corner! If you're in a hurry to get out of town, the highway is not far away either -- great location!! Two pools, two fitness areas, a dog park, plenty of parking, a theater room and a pool table.... what more could you ask for (other than us for neighbors, haha)!

Allister is a great place to live!! Me and my wife recently relocated to the Raleigh area and have been looking into apartment complexes. Allister has everything we wanted - A quiet place to live in with apartments that are very spacious and nicely attired. It has 2 pools, a gym, a dog park, common room with a pool table and home theater room. The Allister complex is so close to everything that you need - North Hills shopping center and restaurants, Costco, downtown... The staff are so friendly and very accommodating. The best part is that the neighbors are of all ages and are very friendly and cool. I would recommend Allister to anyone who is moving to the Raleigh area.

I really enjoy living at Allister in North Hills. The staff is attentive and helpful. I have put in several small maintenance requests and they are usually handled the same day! The maintenance team is also very sweet to my dog when they have to come in and he is excited. Overall, this is the best apartments I've lived in. They hold fun resident events to meet new people and the community areas are clean and always open for use. I have definitely been getting a lot of time in at the pool! We are happy to call Allister home!

I recently moved to Raleigh from NYC. With so many new apartment complexes popping up in Raleigh, I thought I would have a difficult time choosing my new home. Not the case! I was in love with Allister North Hills from the start. I saw almost a dozen and nothing came close to Allister North Hills. First of all, the residency looks established - landscaping is flourished and kept very neat as opposed to other places I saw with nothing green in sight. There are two pools so you never have to worry about finding a spot. There are also two fitness centers which is a fun way to keep your workouts varied. The staff is more than accommodating and does their best to keep you happy. They are very quick to respond with any questions. What I also love about my new home is the many events they hold to help new residents socialize. And, you can't beat the location - everything you need to eat, drink, and shop for is right down the street at North Hills!

I have lived at Allister Apartments for close to one year. As a Raleigh native, it was important to me to stay close to downtown Raleigh, without being in the heart of downtown. Allister Apartments is the perfect location. You have easy access to I-440 to take you to Durham, Chapel Hill, or Cary. You have the ability to walk to North Hills to grab a drink at World of Beer, dinner at Coquette, or groceries at Harris Teeter. Of course, my favorite part about Allister are the amenities. Two swimming pools, two gyms, and a dog park. It is the most unique apartment complex in Raleigh at a very competitive rate. If you are considering a move, I highly recommend you pay this location some time in your apartment search.
