When to Search

Mid-summer is prime apartment hunting season in Ocala. June and July will both have the most apartments on the open market, and if you look throughout those two months you should be able to find something. You should try to find a place within those two months, as the availability will start to reduce as fall approaches.

Staying in the Know

Don't act like you've already got the apartment when you show up to view a suite. You need to make a good impression on the landlord, and taking for granted that you will get approved isn't likely to sit well with most. Instead, ask good questions, and find out what requirements they need provided in order to consider someone as a potential renter.
