we have gorgeous, newly renovated 2 bedroom apartments for rent at the coolidge oaks apartments, located near coolidge and 9 mile in oak park. Amenities include stove, fridge, dishwasher, wall-to-wall carpeting, and blinds. The apartment comes with a storage space in the basement and a designated parking spot in the parking lot's car port. There is a coin-operated laundry room in each building's basement. Buzzer access. Conveniently located near public transportation, oak park high school, and shopping at 9 mile and coolidge.
Utilities: heat is included. Tenants just pay their own electric (dte) and a $30/month flat water fee.
Rates:
2 bedroom: $800/mo. + $30/mo. Flat water fee= $830/month.
2 bedroom + balcony: $840/mo. + $30/mo. Flat water fee= $870/month.

I fell through the stairs 2 times and they just came and rigged it up twice. THERES ABSOLUTELY NO MAINTANENCE! PLEASE DONT RENT HERE! AND NO ONE STILL SEEM TO CANT PROOF WHO REALLY OWNS THIS PLACE! BR REAL ESTATE MANAGEMENT HAS RAN THIS PLACE INTO THE GROUND IT IS A SLUM HOUSE NOW. Wouldn’t refer this apartment to my worst enemy.

Ive been a tenant since 2015 and this place went from bad to worse. My apartment was poorly cleaned and had cigarette smoke grime all over the blinds and basically anything that couldnt be painted over. The cabinets in the kitchen were covered in a layer of old grease. The bathroom was filthy and looked like the last person who cleaned was the previous tenant. Anyway after my first year the apartment was bought out and changed management. BR Real Estate Management. The first 6 months they were nowhere to be found and the whole complex was being ran by the maintenance guy who in over his head and wasnt getting anything done. They have no emergency maintenance number or any type of protocol set for tenants who need help. The hallways and the outside of the property is poorly kept. Always trash everywhere outside and the dumpsters overfill once a month and trash is scattered through the parking lot (never to be cleaned). There is no onsite leasing agents or management its all ran from a cell phone that they answer at their convenience. The people who do answer however is either Mike (the manager/ attorney to the owner in California) or one of the interchanging women who leave fake great comments and 5 star ratings you’ll see in these reviews. I had black mold on two different occasions and it took BR Real Estate Management over a month to take care of it. So I advise anyone with children to rethink this place for their health and safety. After the black mold issues I was discouraged to call the office for any more complaints because they would only lie to me and never respond to work orders you put in. Now on to the ROACHES. The unit I live in is infested with roaches and BR Real Estate Management after 3 months of me complaining and having to speak with the owner who visits sometime from California, finally called pest control to come spray. They only treated units who answered the door and before that only sprayed my apartment. They came twice and never returned. When I called Mike the manager to ask him when they were coming to spray he always assures me they will be there the day of. My place hasn’t been treated since February... Furthermore as a tenant for 3 years I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. Id also like people to know that any pleasant comment or reviews left for BR Real Estate Management or Coolidge Square Apartments is put up by management and the slum lord running this horrid establishment. DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!!!!!

This complex has the nicest tenants and maintenance on site, with on site laundry and storage. 1, 2 , and 3 bedroom units that are very spacious and clean.

The absolute worst management since new management took over in Feb 2017. The halls are absolutely nasty. Complains about roaches and mold on bathroom are ignored. The Home Store did a much better job managing the property. The new management and owners simply don't care and are running the property into the ground.

Julia Schafer was very accommodating when it came to my schedule to view the apartments. She also made the entire process worry-free and easy. I have lived there a little under a year. I also like the fact that there is a maintenance person on site, Kenneth McClain and he is quite helpful.
My one complaint with my unit is that I feel there was a rush to get it rented so the repairs made before I moved in were "rushed". I also do not like the 7-day rule of advising what repairs are needed. It takes longer than that (at least 30 days) to recognize/realize some things that are not in working order. I still have some repairs that have yet to be addressed(balcony door/and screen). However, to be fair, I really haven't pushed for the repairs since turning in the sheet.
I love the space in my bedroom and the closet space in my apartment. I enjoy coming "home" to my apartment!

I have never met Julia Schafer, Property Manager for Coolidge Oaks Apartments. but I must say, she did an excellent job on working with me so my wife and I could into a new lease. it took less than two days, and she communicated with me via phone/web/email to take care of everything problem free. Great Job. oh yeah, the Apartment is not too bad either.

We placed this sign in, so that all renters will know not to move into Coolidge Oaks Apartments. I have lived there for three years, by the second year I had discovered that they had mice there. The owner doesn't care about the tenants needs, nor does he fix up the property inside the building. He would only concentrated his attention on fixing up the outside of the building, to draw in more victims. Do not rent from these people seriously or you will be sorry that you did.
