Over all, I am very happy with Creamette Historic Lofts! The space is the right size for me. I have nothing but positive marks for both the site management and maintenance personnel. The location is absolutely perfect for my lifestyle, and I have no plans to move for the foreseeable future. There are some downsides, however. I will say that I find the guest parking situation very cumbersome and not conducive to a normal, balanced social life. I would also like to see the reserved parking signs made much larger, and the towing policy enforced much more aggressively. I have found cars parked in my assigned space much too often. If there are any other negative marks to be noted, they mostly fall under the category of general community issues. The building has become a little bit noisier than during my first year, especially during quiet hours and, then, mostly on the weekends. Some residents dont return carts to the appropriate place in the garage, or leave them in strange places, which is inconsiderate of all other residents. I have also had issues with one of my neighbors taking it upon himself to take my packages from the mail delivery area and place them at my door. This is a concern for any number of reasons. Took a tour of this building and was very disappointed to see that both units I looked at were not as advertised. To start, it took forever to actually get a hold of somebody to take a tour. The common areas of the building were filthy and it smelled awful. The AC wasnt on and it was a hot humid 80+ day. Both units I toured had in-unit laundry listed as an amenity on the website and drawn into the floor plan. Neither apartment actually had in-unit laundry. Furthermore, there was no overhead lighting in the bedrooms, no hardware on the cabinets, and the over-all look of the recently renovated units looked really incomplete. Why would the floor plan show a washer and dryer if the available apartment doesnt even have one? I think some transparency on the website about what the available units actually have would be helpful for future tenants because I could have compromised on the other things.
