Overpriced rentals in a bad neighborhood, cops petrolling the area all the time. The terrorist of Charlotsville VA lives in this complex with his family - that should give you an idea. Stay away from this place at all costs.

1) Extremely overpriced senior housing. There is always an old granny around you complaining! 2) Sound isolation is a joke. 3) AC condensers are mounted right next to your master bedroom. Good luck with sleeping while your AC/heater is on! 4) You can hear all the backyard conversations clearly from your master bedroom. 5) Yes, garage is for two cars if you have 2 VW beetle. There is no way you can fit your 2 cars and storage boxes. You'll see all tenants having their second car outside the garage. 6) Cable/Internet connection is a joke. Because there is no wiring inside the apartment, you try to get internet signal in your master bedroom by a router in your garage (Unless you want a wire cable driven through your entire apartment like most of the tenants). 7) If your neighbor is smoking (not just cigarette), be prepared to sniff that all day. 8) Washer / dryer not included. If you have a large dryer, you won't be able to close your restroom door. 9) On-site management will lie about anything just to get you sign a lease. 10) You have a beautiful cornfield view on one side, now construction dirt/dust on the other. Asking about the other two sides? Those are the sides you don't have any windows!

My wife and I love here. We have two dogs and there is plenty of green space. We've lived here since the place opened 3+ years ago and we've never really had a problem. Any time there was a small issue, the manager or maintenance folks were very responsive. I would highly recommend this place.

The Reserve at Monclova is mediocre at best. You pay way too much for the living space, and the extra sound proofing between units is a joke. I can hear everything my next door neighbor is doing as I type this. The on-site management changed a few months ago and you can see the difference. There's more newsletters, but nothing ever actually gets done. The customer service is crap. If you're looking for somewhere to live, I'd look elsewhere to find a good deal. It's just not worth what they expect you to pay, at all.
