I lived here from Nov. 2016 to Nov. 2017, I moved away because my ex kept the place but I plan to come back next year to stay again! It just wasn't in my newly single mom budget at the time. I loved our maintenance guy Shaun, he was so relatable. He got everything done the RIGHT WAY the FIRST TIME and always in a timely manner!!! He definitely contributed to making my living experience better. I had Amanda as my leasing agent and her personality was bubbly and welcoming from the start. Michelle was my property manager towards the end and she has actually made a major impact in my life. I will remember and stay in touch with these people for the rest of my life. The Creeks on Kirklevington was by far the best place I have stayed at. You get your money's worth out of EVERY LITTLE THING. The homes are spacious and beautiful. The amenities are AWESOME. That resort style pool and year round hot tub Jacuzzi?? How could you not want to live here?! It felt more like a home for us and not some crusty old apartment. **Edit: reading over Austin Lewis's review and it sounds a bit idiotic.. Who doesn't know to get their KU transferred? I received the same Reservation Agreement so I know exactly what he's talking about and he is.. wrong. They provide the # to call KU and then right below that it says they will auto transfer the WATER.. I wish I could post a pic. He must need glasses. As for my internet in my townhome. I MISS IT SO MUCH!!! $30 and it only buffered 5x in the 12mo I lived there. We had no cable, just live streamed off a PS4. I miss my townhome, haha. This is me voicing regret for leaving. It truly is people like Austin Lewis that are short tempered and refuse to take anything besides what THEY want to hear for an answer. My friends still live here and their electric bill was $45 this month. I'm jealous bc since I moved away to another community mine is $147 this month. I cannot wait to come back and I hope they've gotten rid of people who you can't seem to make happy no matter what you do or say. This is a lovely community, from the staff to the amenities and I would argue with you about it to the T.

Awful place to live. I can honestly say I would rather live in barracks. We are being charged for terrible internet connection that we do not use. We got our own internet service because of the crawling speed. However, when we asked for the internet bill to be removed from our total, Ill see what we can do. Nothing has been done and I have been told it wasnt going to change since. Also, we are being charged for vacancy where our bills have not been transferred to KU. It would have been fine if they mentioned during signing that I was required to call KU to transfer my bills. On the agreement, it says will transfer, do not call. Those exact words. Therefore, I did not call. When questioning the staff about this, it is apparently common knowledge. I personally do not think that is a good response. This brings me to the staff. The staff are the most unhelpful employees of any business I have ever met. I have actually voiced my concerns about everything I am currently writing and nothing has been done. When I went to the office in person, the employee said it is out of my control, Ill see what I can do. Well, nothing has been resolved. And if the employee I dealt with cant fix it, I need someone who can. Not to mention, my fianc was called rude in a voicemail from the office after she called asking the same questions I did. Even if she were rude, employees should not call a resident rude. This is incredibly unprofessional. Our neighbors also smoke in the apartment, causing our apartment to smell like smoke which is terrible. The floors are creeky, the doors are drafty, the electricity bill is way too high, added fees are about 200 on top of base rent, you can hear exactly when your upstairs neighbor is walking, it is entirely too loud, and overall I would not reccommend anyone stay here. I will not continue my lease, and I will turn anyone away looking for an apartment. Utterly disgusted with the creeks on kirklevington. The one positive I have, is that the maintenance guy (whos name slips my mind) is a very nice guy and super helpful. If all of the staff was like this guy, this would be a great place. I digress, do not live here, and dont bother looking in to it either.

Out of the 12 months we lived here, they were only in the office twice when we went up there. Never returned messages we left on their machine. We had our place broken into and they offered no support or help whatsoever when working with the police. Their fees and extra stuff that is supposedly included will tack on an extra 150-200 to the normal monthly cost, amenities are over ran by people that don't live here, they absolutely do the minimum effort required on repairs. We had a leak in the shower coming from above, the sparkles it and never returned to repaint it. Their maintanence people have master keys to all apartments. This place is pathetic. I would rather move back to the barracks then sign another lease with these people. One of the biggest things is the wifi, they force you to pay 30$ a month for wifi, which is always done. You can get your own but you still must pay the 30$ for their internet. Ours was down for 2 weeks in our building once before they called to get it repaired. We didn't get a deduction on our bill though. The rest of the time we had 1MB speeds or less.

Cops there several nights a week for disturbances. Never in the office and rarely answer the phone. Absolute worst place I've ever lived. Live ANYWHERE but here. Absolutely terrible.

I really enjoy living at the Creeks on Kirklevington. I've been here for a little over a year. The new building is very nice, and maintenance always fixes my issues within a timely manner. The newer apartments are definitely overpriced but, it's a great location close to campus and things to do in the area. And, the pool is a great feature as well!

It's not awful living here but I don't like it. I am a current resident. I feel like I pay too much for what I'm getting. There is an awful draft at the front door. The floors are obviously uneven when you walk from room to room. There is mold on the air vents. There is a mouse infestation. I reported it once and they claimed they fixed it but a month later I physically saw the mouse twice due to them poorly sealing all the holes in the walls and cracks between appliances. There is no room for storage and the leasing office is always closed and the blonde lady that works there is always On lunch. I will definitely not be resigning my lease.

Whatever you do, DO NOT LIVE HERE!.. The apartments may seem cozy but the trouble that comes with having to deal with management is not worth it. Hannah, the community manager is horrible and rude. I lived there for 6 months and had the most trouble and I'm still dealing with issues. - We had mold in our kitchen cabinets and it took maintenance 3 days to respond to our request -We didnt have a working shower for almost 3 weeks after moving in due to "renovations" -I didnt have working electricity in my room for almost 2 days due to "renovations" -When they installed countertops, the work was messy and unfinished. -During renovations, they installed vinyl flooring that damages easily. We had an inch tear up due to our couch. After we moved out, they did an inspection without us present and decided to replace the entire ground floor vinyl which cost $1000 and are putting the cost on us. ALL THIS HAPPENED WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE/CONSENT. Please don''t waste your time here...

This place is TERRIBLE! The renovations have taken MONTHS and MONTHS longer then any normal renovation should! We have had about 30 water shut off's and when I say water shut off's I mean for 8 hours or more during the day. The property management is also TERRIBLE and we have had nothing but issues with them the entire time we have lived here. Our rent never seems to be the same each month and they always have these mystery charges for water that make you want to gag because you know you didn't use that much water! They are charging people for the extra water during the shut off's I know it. STAY WAY WAY WAY AWAY from this place!

I have lived in an apartment here for two years now. For these two years and have had three simple maintenance requests in. I have never had a dishwasher that works properly. I have not had a fridge that seals. I live on the first floor and have broken blinds to my bedroom and anyone can see in. TWO YEARS! The only request I ever had taken care of was when I went without heat for January and February and still saw $250 KU bills. They finally visited after about 20 phone calls and denial that anything was wrong to find out that I'd been heating the outside. I was told to see a credit on my rent for this that never materialized. They recently remodeled the apartment upstairs from me removing the bathtub and unleashing a fly/maggot problem into my apartment. They cut drywall for this apartment on the balcony destroying the garden I had on my balcony. They repainted my balcony and moved the bookshelf I had my plants on it to do so. They broke the bookshelf in the process and had didn't even have the decency to say so. While painting they got the paint all over my bike, I just threw it out. I can't count how many times I've been unable to shower for work due to the water being cut off. There haven't been washer and dryers at this property in months. They were hooked up and I tried to use them only to spend $6 and an hour of my time to have them not dry. They say you can use the utilities at the apartment down the street but that is ridiculous. I pay rent here not down the street. Being able to go down the street to do laundry isn't a perk for anyone, it's an inconvenience. The fact that I haven't had a gym for months is an inconvenience. One that for some reason I am paying for. I received a phone call the other day telling me they've lost my lease. Where is it?!!? I received a phone call today saying they've lost my key! My key! and I need to stop by so they can make a copy of mine. How do you lose a key to someones apartment that is the single most irresponsible thing I have ever heard! Did you give it to someone doing repairs upstairs and they kept it to break in at a later date? Is it floating around with some creeper? Can I sleep at night? This dude probably saw in my broken curtains at night and knew exactly what key to steal. I could go on and on, literally, but visitors can see the other dysfunction and cockroaches without me mentioning it.

If I could put a NEGATIVE 5 STARS on this property I would. The reviews with 5 stars are bull. I am sure those people were paid to put that on there. The other reviews are more precise on how horrible this place is ran. If you are a person who loves getting screwed over month after month and loves to just hand people all the money that you have then come and live here. That is the ONLY thing this place is good at. They were taught by their corporate office on how to screw people over and not give a crap. The ugly hearted women in the office are just for show. Just a pretty face to walk into. They are dumber than a rock and their customer service is literally the WORST I have ever been in contact with. Nothing about our time here has been even decent. When your lease is first signed they give you a form to fill out with everything you would like fixed and everything that is wrong with your apartment. Well I can go ahead and tell you not to waste your time because that is just toilet paper for them. They just want you to feel like you have control and/or power. In reality THEY WILL TAKE EVERYTHING YOU HAVE. I have not been able to use our dishwasher since we moved in. We have literally filled out 3 work orders for the same stuff that we wanted fix and still NOTHING has happened. I am telling you that your money and time are better spent elsewhere. They are trying to do all these rennovations when they really need to be putting the money into updating ALL of their apartments. When updates were discussed the almighty Hannah told us " This is a B property", I don't care if you look at it as if it were a "Z property". You are suppose to serve my needs for everything I need to be able to call this place "home". All these people care about is making money no matter what they have to do to get it. I have spoken to many of my neighbors and they are saying similar things. I wish I had a review like this to read before I moved in because living here has been the BIGGEST regret of my life. This place does not deserve to be open. I would suggest reading over your rights as a tenant before signing the lease because they will screw you if you let them.
