I thought it would be a good idea to rent with roomies to save money because I am a full time student and I work part time. With all of the random bills we get I might as well work full time and go to school part time. To the students who want to save and have to pay for your schooling please do your self a favor and find a better place to rent. Any where is better than renting here. Front desk ladies have the worst attitude never welcoming & if anything I feel like Im intruding their phone time. Theyre quick to give you all of these little fees, but want to take 2 weeks just to check out our broken washer and dryer. Do not rent here!!!!

I have read the old reviews and I have to disagree with the bad reviews. my experience at Rebel Place has been good I have to say that the new management has taken its role serious to bring this property back to 100% they have cleaning staff that cleans up the outside after the inconsiderate tenants that don't pick up after their pets/companions on a daily. the property looks awesome my room is so dope. the pool area thumbs up.

Has nice pool/gym/ mini computer lab. -Convenient bill, everything included (utilities/cable), only pay a couple bucks for electricity -nice up to date furniture and kitchen with storage Cons- dangerous neighborhood. Have heard of countless times random people breaking windows. Happened to my unit twice last year -mandatory 12 month leases that you cannot get out of unless you have someone to take it. Nearly impossible to switch units, and have to pay large fee for that as well -most of the staff behaves like teenagers, highly unprofessional and roll their eyes when residents ask for any type of assistance. Took them weeks to fix my gate key when i moved in -One security guard at night but can hardly ever be found. Random hooded guys walking around at night looking through car windows -no emergency assistance for utility repairs at night -have to pay for parking, and pay extra if you want a guest to park as well -random teenagers jumping the fence just to mess around at night in the complex/ pool

Now I get a notice in 2018 that they tried to charge the extra months and turned it over to a debt collector! I was never called or notified. And all they can say is we dont have any information because its new management - which is a standard excuse for all apartment agencies. This place is duplicitous and will only cause you problems down the road. Edit: Rebel left a nice little response feigning concern, but has only ignored my email attempts for weeks and has no interest in resolving the issues theyve caused. Seriously - steer clear. I wish I could give you guys zero stars and make you deal with the garbage you put other people through! Youre greedy and shady!

I spoke to the management crew who made it clear to me changes were imminent and asked for patience. The transformation was overwhelmingly positive. I have all the facilities I need in one: gym, pool and computer lab. I do not have a car so the shuttle is very convenient for me to get to school and the grocery store. While Rebel Place may have some unsavory reviews from other residents, my experience living here has been nothing but great. The new staff is wonderful, Ive been helped quickly and efficiently many times, Jayne has been extremely helpful and always does so in a respectful and helpful manner. With the new measures to increase security, Rebel Place truly does feel like it is a safer community. The amenities are wonderful, the access to the area is nice, Ive just had a wonderful experience living here. Rebel Place is not a scam, they really do try to help you in every way they can. Ive loved living here and really have run into no problems, its been a great place to live.

RENTING FROM REBEL PLACE IS A SCAM Management doesn't care about anything except taking your money. I lived on the first floor for 3 years and we had multiple break in attempts. The only reason they weren't actual break ins was because we were home both times and were able to scare them away by turning on lights and making noise. We reported them to management who said they would replace the windows but couldn't do anything about the security issue. We also had a HEART left on our doorstep (pictures are attached in my Yelp review). We called management, who said it wasn't their problem... ended up calling the police, who connected us to 911, and management still ignored the issue. Upon move out they kept my deposit and charged me an extra $200 to "paint" my bedroom, even though it was exponentially cleaner than when I moved in. They don't clean anything before you move in - if you have absolutely no option but to live here I highly recommend renting a carpet cleaner. PLEASE do yourself a favor and don't live here. They will steal every penny they can from you and let you live in disgusting, dangerous conditions.

This place is TERRIBLE! I would't recommend it to anyone. For any UNLV student who is considering living here, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere such as U district or Avenue 365. This is not just me, ask anyone who lives here or used to live here and they will tell you that this place is a horrible place to live. If you do go in for a tour, ask to see building 2 and 3. They are completely different from building 1, where the management office is located. Building 1 is kept looking a little nicer than the other 2 buildings because that is where the sales office is, but building 2 and 3 represent the REAL Rebel Place which is disgusting. The first day I moved in there was domestic violence happening in the apartment above me and the whole year I lived there I had heard multiple domestic and sexual assaults which were nothing short of traumatizing. My old roommate had been to jail before (they say they do a background check, but they don't) and had some of her friends from jail crashing on my couch for weeks on end selling pills, and had drugs. They market themselves as a student living facility, but you don't even need to be a student to live there. The place is filthy with people leaving their trash in the halls, vomit, graffiti and dog poop. I wasn't going to leave a review because I am fortunate not to live there anymore, but the new management is just as bad as the old one. Upon move out day they posted a notice saying that keys turned in after 9 AM are subject to 150% of your room rent as a late fee, which is insane, because they were closed the day before, and do not normally open until 10am and it says in the contract that keys didn't need to be turned in until midnight. They are scam artists, and I assure you they will try to pull these stunts again, if you sign a lease with them. Right now I am currently waiting to receive my room deposit back in the mail, it says in the contract it will be sent out no later than 30 days after move out and it has now been 50. I have called the Management office 3 times now and they just tell me I will receive it the next week and the next week. I even e-mailed Paula Kelly the Property Manager and have not gotten a response. To any UNLV student looking for a place to live, I strongly urge you not to live at Rebel Place! They have a low rating on Google Reviews, Yelp, and if you ask any tenant they will confirm this negative reputation.

This place needs to get themselves together. Mail keys not ready until a month after move in so god forbid you had something important on the way youre screwed, they will make a mistake in your room placement and ask you to move right after you just finished moving all your things in, and elevators broken during move in week. Oh and theyll tow your friends car if theyre visiting you on a Saturday night just because they didnt want to drink and drive. Do they even know who their renters are? Theyre college students.....theyve towed 10 cars this Saturday....college students have fun, but also like to be safe. Stop towing cars on Saturday nights, you should be happy they arent on the street trying to find somewhere else to park and end up killing themselves or someone else. Its $300 to get your car back if its towed on a weekend. Oh and by the way, a dead body was found in the empty lot next door 3 days ago, so yeah have fun moving in here its a blast.

DO NOT MOVE HERE. This place is horrible!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been living here for a year now and things are only getting worse. First of all, the management here sucks. The last management sucked and the new one that took over sucks even more. They NEVER answer the phone. Any issues they have they say they will take care of it and NEVER do. Just last week the people they HIRED to clean out new apartments and paint stole from my apartment. The manager told me she'd credit $40 towards my rent for this, just got my bill and there is not $40 credit on there -___-. They were replacing couches in the units and did not replace the whole couch in my unit. Just parts of it. I don't even have the right pieces to my couch. Paying almost $600 and I don''t even have my couch. Another thing is with the old leasing company my electric bill would range from $7-$16. Ever since the new company took over the electric bill is now $35! Another thing is I had renewed my lease to save $33 a month and now they increased my rent to $16 more and I see now $33 off. I'm so mad and no one answers the phone to help me out -____- They are constantly changing the office hours which is so annoying. The doors say 10am-7pm yet I go there and they are closed till 12pm. Really inconvenient when I work 12pm-8pm everyday and need to pick up a package and discuss all these issues. Then I've been calling them 4 times now and NO ANSWER. This is so frustrating. Now for the actual apartment living, they have been some weirdos roaming around the complex at night/day. They look like bums and druggies who manage to get in since our gates are always breaking and security is never to be found. I could really go on and one. I recently finished my lease here and I can say I thank God I'm not staying. A couple of my roomates left the common area a disaster and because there is no way to prove somones mess) I was going to be the one to pay the cost for someone elses Rebellious acts against rebel place. Even though I was assured I wouldn't by management. There are lots of break-ins here and because of the lack of security, and security cameras, people have nothing keeping them from walking into your girlfriends apartment (accros the hall) while you sleep and take your things. I know because it just happened to me. The dead bolt was pried away from the door and in they were. As we slept someone grabed my laptop, her skatebaord and the keys to her truck, we made a police report replaced our belongings and rebel place so graciously replaced the locks free of charge and that was that -_-. I asked if they could review the security footage and i was told that there cameras didnt work. May there simpathy protect you and your things. Your lease is likely to be lost it's happened to many residents here, one of the girls affected by these misshandlings came home to an empty apartment ,her stuff was bagged and taken because they believed the unit to be without a resident then later told her they couldn't find her lease. But she sat in the office and resolved her issue with the manegment and was lucky enough to have found a lease takeover. Which brings me to the most inconvenient truth. They will do everything in there power to keep you locked into your lease until the day your lease term comes to an end. Even if you presented with life changing sercomstances they will tell you "It is your obligation to find someone to take over your lease, and you have to pay a fee if the person taking over your lease is approved. And this does include the hypithetical your parent passed and you no longer have a means to pay your rent, feel unsafe or unprotected. There's more but if you feel it's worth it I still say make a friend who lives here and ask a resident about their stay at rebel place. STUDENTS PLEASE KEEP YOUR PARENTS AND LAWYERS IN YOUR LOOP AS YOU EXPERIENCE YOUR STAY AT REBEL PLACE. This experience just might change you!!!!!!

I have lived here for the past two years, and while this place may look ok it is probably the worst Student Living Apartments...

I have lived here for the past two years, and while this place may look ok it is probably the worst Student Living Apartments in the area. Such a bad first apartment experience, that I am not even going to justify them by calling them apartments. There are a couple things thiscomplex does well like: having a shuttle, providing some utilities/amenities (even if those amenities are constantly closed), and having a gated area for parking. The gated area for parking, which is in quotes because the 24 months I have lived here it has been broken and stuck open for about eight of them, and even when it does close random people will often wait at the gate and sneak in behind a resident. But, things are just as broken inside the unit. It feels like something is breaking or bending everyday (like our sink that has been broken three times and once fixed with duct tape). And the management will take their time unless you tell them it is urgent, and even with an urgent tag they give maintenance a 24 hour window to fix it. There are constantly cockroaches roaming around and sneaking in the apartment (more cockroaches here on property than normal in Las Vegas). The dumpster area is constantly being trashed by the current residents, so much so that management cant keep up the cleaning, and to make it worse every night it seems like there is someone rummaging through it (for either food and stuff, or important things like bills and credit card statements). This is one of the more sketchy neighborhoods in Las Vegas and their security is laughable with a few peoples cars getting damaged or broken into. There is broken glass and broken bottles scattered through the property as well. The hallways are just as bad with trash bags (or dog poop everywhere) littered everywhere, and the elevators will get so bad they become unrideable which means you will need to walk up all four flights of stairs. Just outside of the property are countless amounts of run down apartments. There have been multiple instances of gun shots, attacks, and even murders across the street (visible if you view a crime map), and to make matters worse they can't even keep it away from the residents. On June 27th and 28th there were multiple people who got flashed in the Rebel Place parking lot (behind the secured gate and constant security). As a current resident I feel as if the people in the office are only concerned with signing new people up to live here, or are busy talking to each other. But, the people in the office are really nice when they are not on the phone (with a potential new guest), or chatting with each other about their day or future activities. In addition to that the day before move out I tell them I want to be there for the walk through (because who wouldn't when my security deposit is in the hands of a company so incapable) and they said on July 30th that they will do a walk through the next morning (July 31st at 8 am). After waking up early and being there five minutes early I get told that I am not going to be getting a walk through today, and the supposed time for walk throughs had already ended (the manage said an email had been sent out to the residents but it must have been one of the blank ones they sent on accident instead of the real move out information) I truly do not recommend this place for you, and especially not for your kids they will not be safe. There is a lot better for a lot less available. You will live here for just one year (because you cant end their lease early), dislike every minute of it, and decide to move anywhere else (just like 85% of the current residents now). This place is in bad management, a bad area, and is not getting any better any time soon. If you read through their page the only good reviews are from people who just moved in or worse haven't even moved in yet! If anyone has any questions about this honest review I would be more than glad to answer them here!

I just signed my lease today and do not move in until next month so this rating is purely based on my interactions with their costumer service. After filling out the online application an error occurred because I didn't have a co-singer. I called twice with no answer either time ( I didn't leave a message) and I sent an e-mail. Within 10 minutes Will called me back and helped me through signing my lease over the phone and via e-mail. I currently don't live in Las Vegas so these were my only options. He has gone above and beyond and has been extremely helpful. I will write another review after I have moved in and experienced actually living here.

It may sound good that u have your own room and bathroom but your rent fluctuates and if u don't get a roommate that u like u will hate it. As far as the area is concerned yes it isn't the best part of Vegas but it is close to the school. I have been in a worse neighborhood but still there are some questionable things that go on nearby. There is always something wrong here whether it's the heater/AC DISHWASHER, or etc.

CONCERN FOR LACK OF SECURITY: *Forgive the lengthy review but you MUST READ.* I am 5 months into my lease and realized how sucky security is here. I know it's located in the ghettos and that being on the first floor makes it an easy target for robbery and theft. However, I feel that there should be at least a security guard on duty during dark hours. I have seen none so far this winter break, and since it is advertised as a student living apartment complex, then we are at high risk of break-ins during the holidays and school breaks. The decrease in lights, residence on property, and cars in the parking lot gives away the fact that not a lot of residence are home during these times. I've heard of my fellow residents being robbed during finals week, during christmas, and during the new years week (not just into their apartments but in their storage spaces as well, which are located in the hallways of every floor). Obviously nothing has been done thus far. May I also add that I woke up to 2 male suspects breaking my window screen and trying to lift my window open at 3am in the morning 2 days ago. Luckily I have personally secured it as best as I can and turned on my light to scare them off. Later that morning I found that a lot of the first floor window screens located on the back of the buildings were damaged and bent just as mine was. There really should be more light posts installed in the darker areas of the property. One of my roomates called the office about the incident and all the guy had to say was to file a police report. How about comforting us that you will work out a better security plan? Even during the school year when there is a security guard on duty, you can find him or her inside of the lounge area going on the computer or taking extended breaks. They walk around sometimes, and sometimes they're nowhere to be found. So I hope that management can straighten them out or hire more qualified security guards and/or installing motion sensored recording cameras on property. Side note: Homeless people also do get in the property from hopping over the brick wall (thats probably how thieves try to come in as well), they would beg for spare change or look through each of the car windows in the parking lot. Thats super sketchy to me. I have contacted management with my concerns/suggestions and now awaiting for a reply and (hopefully) their plan of action to prevent future break ins. If not, I'm definitely updating my review again. Security is a number one priority in my books when it comes to living in any house or apartment. So this is the brutal truth as of right now and I hope that I, nor any other resident, wakes up to a burglar trying to break in or come home to find precious valuables missing. Management should know it's better to be safe than sorry.

I lived at rebel place for 1 and 1/2 years, it is a decent place if you first come in to town. here are some things they do not tell you. - It is located in one out of the 2 most dangerous areas in Las Vegas (you can call the local police station or look online) - there are people of all ages living with you. In the 2nd half of the year my apartment "got a new roommate", who was some elderly very creepy guy living of welfare. You also see people in there 70-80s who decided to pay for a room at rebel. - Really make sure that you use the first 3 days to change rooms to a room where you know that you can stay with them for the rest of you stay. - Don't get to exited when you see there "sample room". your wont be as new, nor clean, nor will you hallway have "air-fresheners" (at the outside of your apartment). - lastly look at more reviews most of the 5 star ratings are rebel place staff. not sure how the rating got so high. hope I could help

I would not EVER recommend somebody to live here ! The longer you live here the more you pay! They don't inform you when somebody is moving in, they have so many hidden fees that they will find to charge you with, they have random people walking around that don't live there and my OWN safety was at risk; which management did nothing about. Only thing positive I can say about this place is that they have a shuttle to and from UNLV but that is all, you pay so much for a little area that is about a size of a walk in closet and they always messed up the utility bill ! And when it comes to moving out expect to be charged for things they are supposed to do when they have new tenants moving in; Ex. painting and cleaning, makes me question if they even cleaned up before I moved into this hell hole! OOOOOh ! and most importantly they have the worst roach problem ever!!! They sent a bug guy out bout three times and he did nothing but make a mess and I had to go through my own ways to get rid of the nasty things and when I asked to be moved somewhere else they wanted me to pay but happily moved out two other girls charge free. NOT fair, NOT clean, NOT a place to want to live ever!
