I have lived at Greenbrier since July of 2009. I am a female and I have lived in a one bedroom by myself. Recently, while I was at work, my apartment was broken into and roughly $3,000.00 worth of items in my home were stolen. It was devistating. My puppy was home and was completely traumatized by the break-in.Two months prior to my incident, another single female resident's apartment was burglarized. The apartment staff failed to notify residents of this incident. I'm sure they were too busy complaining and drafting their heavy-handed "pick up your dog's poop" letter. They have their priorities. Though the staff at Greenbrier seemed concerned, they were not honest about the other safety issues that had recently taken place. I was dissapointed in their behavior. While Linda seemed genuinely concerned, the other staff members could have cared less. I considered staying, but after careful consideration, I am leaving. I am now moving to another apartment where for $45 more a month, I have 50 square feet more in space, a gate, a personal alarm system, and a TRULY upgraded kitchen with all new appliances. If Greenbrier wants to seriously continue charging the amount that they do charge, they need to re-evaluate their safety measures and their current idea of "upgraded". My advice to prospective residents is that you request the highest apartment available from the ground floor. Do not accept "no" for an answer. Be firm with the staff or they WILL walk all over you. Don't settle when there are plenty of competitively priced, safe, new apartment homes. Also, don't be fooled by their claims of "new" or "upgraded." It's just all the same old junk covered up with a new coat of paint- certainly not worth the price. I hope this honest review helps those of you in search of your new home.
