This has probably been on of the worst experiences we've had with a company/office staff. However, Let's start with the awesome surrounding areas and what drew us here in the 1st place. The beautiful walking trail is literally around the corner which is one of the reasons we chose here. The highway/shopping is less than a mile. It is also located about 45 min outside of Cincy. Also my neighbors are nice, we all respect one another, and its a community full working adults, kids/young teens and I truly enjoy seeing that interaction and peace with one another. Now, the unfortunate, We came in for the initial sit down (yet we never saw the unit; it was being "remodeled" 1st. mistake) and saw videos and pictures of our potential unit. The young lady that initially took our paperwork/money was great. Fast Forward months later we go to see the unit and sign the lease it was not what was presented to us but at the point we had no choice to move forward. On top of this they assign a new leasing agent who doesn't understand the lease nor how to explain it. That obviously made us uneasy and weary. We were living there less than a month before problems arise and fixing things laid out in the move in form were not rectified (some issues were never addressed). They claim to have less staff which is fine if the communication and respect were there. This same agent also tried to tell us that they can come into our unit whenever the wanted to without our permission. Since we've had issues with communication, parking, lawn care, water (including leakages), heating, etc. I spoke to the front office twice and each time (even though different agents) it came off rude and inconsiderate and due to this and more Im highly uncomfortable with their employees in general. Subsequently, I never spoke to the front office again. Needless to say, whatever problems we had were mostly dealt with ourselves or we gave up to keep contact at minimum. This complex is notorious for not updating (bill payment, maint orders, request etc), emailing, sending letters, or letting tenants know basic-important events. They have a means but do not utilize them for effective communicating. I truly believe its a work culture/office issue. If your having issues or in the wrong it's best to just uphold and admit it. Your a leasing company; It is essential to have respect for your tenants and issues that should not require drawn out ramifications. In the end, looks can be decieving...highly recommend the area just not this company

I moved here about 5 months ago because of a terrible experience at the Chimneys of Oak Creek apartments. My experience here has been so much better! I live in a townhome. Cons: - Bugs. It's not bad enough to tell the office, and they aren't anything truly concerning like cockroaches or fleas. But I have probably killed more spiders and earwigs in these 5 months than my whole life before - and I grew up in the country! - Dogs barking. Luckily I am not near any of these units, but there are some that let their dogs in the backyard area to bark for hours on end. I haven't heard any out after 10pm though. (Additional note: I live directly beside a designated dog-poo area and everyone picks up after their dog well.) - If you are against a wall in a unit that has stairs, you will hear your neighbors walking loud and clear. But other than that, I don't hear my neighbors much. - I've had a lot of things break. My furnace, the stove vent, and someone in another unit clogged the water pipes and I got a bit flooded. Pros: - Yes, I've had a lot of things break. But the maintenance staff here is BEYOND friendly and timely. I have nothing but great things to say about the staff. - The price for this place is great for the size. I am getting double the space I did at the Chimneys apartments, for not much more a month. - Parking in my area is great. - Overall it is quiet and feels safe.

We have lived here for 8 months and at first things were going great. Now we CANNOT WAIT to move out of here. Our "move in check list" has still not been dealt with and now things are essentially falling apart. This place is very very cheaply made and overall a complete waste of nearly 900$ a month (for a 2 bedroom townhouse). Since early December I have been calling repeatedly about how much cold air our front door lets in, it is not on the track correctly or the door doesn't fit because there are so many gaps around the door. Well I called again last week and they informed me that it hasn't been that long since I called and that they are "backed up" and working on emergency basis. I'm sorry but it is an emergency because we can't even sit downstairs because it feels just as cold as the outside. To make matters worse we have not had hot water in 2 days and today we only have cold water in select rooms. Oh and did I mention that our dishwasher has been broken since before Thanksgiving so we have to hand wash all of our dishes (From Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas LOTS OF DISHES). Now that we don't have any water we are backed up on dishes and the inconveniences are just piling up. All in all SAVE YOUR MONEY. Actually, just buy a house and skip on renting period. Although Chatham Village looks like a great place to live it is not as great as it seems .

I've been living here for about 7 months now. Everything was fine when I toured my unit and signed the lease. All hell broke loose soon after I moved in. About two weeks in, I started finding live bugs in window sills and on the carpet nowhere near entryways. Mind you, I only open my bathroom window every day and it's not for long so I don't think I could be causing the problem. When I requested an exterminator, I was told someone would be out. The next day the exterminator showed up as I was leaving which is inconvenient since I didn't feel comfortable with someone in my apartment while I wasn't there. Anyway, he was very nice but all he did was spray the carpet with a chemical, he didn't inspect the windows or entryways to see what the source of the bugs could be which I assumed he would do. The office has not responded to voicemails I've left (during their business hours) requesting maintenance which is frustrating. One of the other major problems I've had is that when I went in to tell the office I had gotten a cat, they said it would be $350 for the pet deposit which is not written anywhere in the lease agreement or any other document I signed when I moved in. I had no idea how much the pet deposit would be since again, it's nowhere in writing, not even on their website. I assumed it would be maybe $150 like most apartments. They did say half of The deposit is refundable if everything is fine with the apartment when I move out but I still think $350 is high. From some of the other reviews I've read it seems like I may not even get the half of it back. The only thing the lease agreement says is that pet rent is $25 per month which is standard. It's definitely shady and I feel like I'm being gouged. Overall, the perks of living here is that the neighborhood is very quiet and I feel safe being a single woman living on my own here. My neighbors are also friendly and nice. I wouldn't recommend living here to anyone, sadly. I can't wait until my lease is up.

We've been living here about 5 months now and we've had issues ranging from our sink leaking to the bugs getting in the apartment. Our sink had the leak for a week as well with us not even getting a call back for when they'd be out, water had been turned off for the sink that entire time too, which I told them of. The bugs have been an ongoing issue, we keep the windows shut for the most part and make sure not to leave the door open too long, yet we find bugs constantly in the apartment, we called the exterminator but it didn't help much. We've also had other issues that we called and left voice mails about but no one has got back to us. Management seems lacking if they can't even get back to us on our issues. Overall, it's been pretty disappointing to live here. There's only a few nice things like that it is in a great location, and the other tenants are friendly.
