Ithaca College

Ithaca tries to keep its students on-campus for as long as possible, but when upperclassmen can finally get their own place, they’ll realize it’s much cheaper than the dorms. For apartments, you should look in nearby communities like Aurora, Hudson, East State, Lansing, Kendall, and other neighborhoods in Ithaca. If you split it with a roommate or two, you’ll find that rentals in the area are very affordable. Keep in mind that most students have their own vehicles and use them to commute, as opposed to public transportation or biking.

Methodology

Each month, using over 1 million Rentable listings across the United States, we calculate the median 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom rent prices by city, state, and nation, and track the month-over-month percent change. To avoid small sample sizes, we restrict the analysis for our reports to cities meeting minimum population and property count thresholds.
