Montrose Sunset

Montrose Neighborhood Summary

Looking to impress your hip friends from the coasts? Need a spot for an anniversary dinner? Have a living room that needs some vintage furniture, or a closet that needs some new life breathed into it? If so, Montrose — arguably Houston’s coolest street — has you covered. Coffee and pastries at Common Bond, cocktails at Anvil or Poison Girl, dinner at Underbelly or Uchi — there are so many options, it might be hard to fit into those new jeans you bought at Pavement Houston. It might also be hard to find an apartment in Montrose. One- and two-bedrooms go fast.

Methodology

Each month, using over 1 million Rentable listings across the United States, we calculate the median 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom rent prices by city, state, and nation, and track the month-over-month percent change. To avoid small sample sizes, we restrict the analysis for our reports to cities meeting minimum population and property count thresholds.
