You cant beat the staff there! Super nice and do anything to help as long as you ask. The walk in closet and the extra door from the guest bedroom to the bathroom makes it feel like theres two master bedrooms. Also is much more quiet than any other apartment complex close to campus as far as late night parties go.
For all the newcomers, just ignore all the negative reviews. I read them, came in a little skeptical, and boy was I pleasantly surprised....
For all the newcomers, just ignore all the negative reviews. I read them, came in a little skeptical, and boy was I pleasantly surprised. Firstly, the manager Erica, was absolutely amazing. She literally came in on her day off to go over the lease with me. She got me moved in within 2 days and gave me an excellent deal on rent (including a few hundred dollars off the first month). Ebony was also amazing as well, helping me with the move in process. The next day I noticed a couple problems with garbage disposal and washer ( which is expected when moving in) and Erica had the maintenance guys were out the very next day and had the problem fixed in less than 24 hrs. Not only that, the maintenance guys, Robert and Dave were extremely friendly and did amazing work. They were very respectful and asked if I wanted a call before entering the apartment. Literally unbelievable customer service. I guess all the other reviews are just people being salty or something, but I absolutely could not have picked a better apartment for the money and location. I am a college student at NKU and I am so happy about this place. (And they have a dog park for my pups!) Dont listen to those negative reviews, the best thing to do is to just call these guys and meet with them. Im very glad I did.

I dunno where these other people actually live that give this location a "good" review cause it sure isn't what I think.... I'm not allowed giving zero stars either sooo where can I start... Management is rude. The first apartment we moved in to had rodent droppings. My apartment that I'm in now leaks water from the foundation and has created mold on the baseboards,windows, closet and clothes... so bad on our clothes we had to make an insurance claim A water line broke and all the management did was dry the carpet. I've lived here multiple years and never once has management offered to clean/shampoo my carpets... (should be every 3 years by code). When the company that came here to dry my carpets after the pipe broke they mentioned that they had been here before and that this apartment had common water leaking issues. PM me if you want to know the apartment number so you stay away. You have to bring a personal note to pick your packages up... they give you a bad attitude if you don't. In the summer the pool in constantly closed for no reason... any sign on rain... closed. any clouds in the sky.. closed... like right now. it rained this morning but is now sunny but the pool is still closed... for no reason. Our dishwasher broke and took them 3 days to replace it. Rent is going up too. It starts out lower than other around but once you reside here it sky rockets to around 1100$ for a 2br lower lever when it started out at 950$. Water and garbage costs are crazy... ~100$ per month... basically if you can afford a house move out or go down the street to the other apartments for the 100$ it costs for a truck. Least their pool opens early and is open when ever. This place sucks and i'm soooo happy to be moving The only good thing about this place is location ... but there's apartments right down the street that have better or similar ratings... look them up.. i'd check those out before here... rather i'd live there over this place. I lived here with my roommate for two years and had a great experience! Erica is friendly and approachable in the front office and the maintenance staff was quick to address needs in the apartment. I thought this apartment complex was great for grad students, but still welcoming for young professionals, undergraduates, and those looking for a quiet place to live. You cant beat the updated pool and walk in closet. Affordable and a relatively cheap uber ride to downtown Cincinnati for those who like to step out. I will miss highland ridge dearly!

I've lived here for two years, and can honestly say that many improvements have been made in the past year with the current office staff. During my first year here management was a revolving door, and it was unfortunate to walk in every few weeks and not recognize the person at the desk. Erica and Lisa have been there about a year now, and they have worked hard to get the community together with monthly newsletters and events in the office.More than anything it's great to have management that knows who you are and can already guess what you're in the office for (guilty of constantly picking up packages). Great management aside, the new pool is beautiful, the fact that there are W/D available in UNIT is rare in this area, and if you have a fur baby you're in luck because they're pet friendly. I would certainly recommend this complex to anyone looking.

The office staff have always gone above and beyond while I have been a resident at Highland Ridge. They have always been so kind and I truly enjoy going in there to chat when turning in rent or picking up a package. The community events are a great way to get to know your neighbors and who doesn't enjoy free food! The maintenance staff are amazing as well and have always promptly taken care of any issues I have had. All in all, it is a great community to live in and I am so glad that I chose to live there throughout my time at NKU.

I have lived at Highland Ridge for almost a year now, the main reason Im moving out is to be closer to friends in Ohio. I think the apartment Ive stayed in is very spacious and comfortable, Ive never had an issue with loud or disrespectful neighbors. I love how pet friendly the place is and the pool was a big perk in the summer. I also liked how close it is to both 275, and 471, it made getting to Newport and downtown a breeze and also the ride to the airport super easy! But one of the things that I liked the most about Highland Ridge was the leaaing office. Ive gotten to know Erica over the time Ive lived st Highland Ridge and I know her to be a very hard working and professional individual. She has always been extremely helpful to me while Ive lived here. Im sad to be leaving.

Their property manager Erica webber lied to me and stole money from me 140 dollars, which I was using for another apartment move. I Called lisa their apartment manager who was too "busy" to talk to me and said " she just got in the office" well into the day. Erica webber needs to go through ethics training, Lisa needs to go through proper customer service training as well as how to multi-task. I asked them to refund the money that was stolen from me by them under false pretenses by Erica webber using social engineering tactics, and they replied with "you will get your 100 back at the address you provided" even though they stole 140 from me and took it right from my card. No wonder they have such a low rating for a "high" end apartment. Erica webber needs to be either suspended or terminated immediately and lisa needs to be put through new hire manager training again.
If you value your money, do not rent from them unless the names of Erica webber and lisa are gone and replaced with new management who do not have stealing under "special skills"as well as abusive customer service practice and poor multitasking skills.

The management of this complex is the absolute worst, they don't care about anything except taking money from you. I moved in a month early and paid a higher rent for an entire month due to the previous management being helpful, and now they are taking money from me for not signing my 60 day notice in time when I only had one email and no electronic lease. The email was sent 5 days after 60 days was already up. They also are charging a $75 late fee for a check that was mailed 4 days prior to it being late, after I have never been late before. There is absolutely no help, leniency, or respect considering this is an apartment complex rented out by the majority of college students. The apartments are not well constructed, 2 doors broke without force, we needed a new dishwasher after a month of living there, they turn off the air without contacting you, they close the office so often for "medical emergencies" (bull), my front door doesn't close all the way and allows bugs in, it is fruit fly infested, and there have been multiple instances where our internet went out due to the services of the complex messed up wires. I have about 20 other people who were previous residents who confirm the outrage of the new management. Rather, the people who try to take your money.

We stayed in highland Heights from April 2016- June 2017. We liked the apartment very much. During our stay, there were 3 different managers on site. All were very professional. Any issues with the apartment were taken care within 24 hours. It is away from Alexandria parkway/ I471 and I275. so there is no question of noise of traffic. It has nice view to forest and hill in the background.
Amenities and pool are maintained well. Lot of parking space available. I dont remember if i had to park some where and had to walk to my apartment. We stayed in first floor. It has lot of sun light and ventilation coming into your room that you dont need to switch your lights or AC on till 8pm (during summers) Very close to Kroger's and driving distance to Campbell county library, Kohl's, Home depot, Walmart. My office was in downtown. it is very close to my office (7 miles one way). Also, I took TANK often from park n ride. What else to ask about. Isnt it? :)
Things to be concerned-
What they say before lease- "We need to pay for water and sewage" But they charge according to usage which can be about $40.00 and $5.00 fees fixed for base charge and some odd amount for storm water which i dont know why is that for.
Some times you need to walk little bit to get your mails unlike if you are lucky to get apartment near the mailbox center.
There is only one place to put ur garbage. So if your apartment is towards the end, then need to walk or carry it in your car.
If not for job transfer, i would not move out from that place. I recommend highland Ridge for anyone. Thanks!

I've lived here for three months and the problems do not stop coming. For one the dryer has been broke since day one we moved in, they gave us a new one but that one didn't work either, and they still haven't fixed it even though I tell them about it once a week. Our dishwasher has broken twice. The ceiling in our outside closet fell in and it took them over two weeks to fix it. Our toilets don't flush correctly, and I've told them about it numerous times. The bathtub doesn't drain hardly at all. It's a nice place, don't get me wrong, but there's been too many problems that they keep pushing back. It seems like they rushed the job to get us in here sooner than what it should've. Also the told us we would have an accent wall in our living room, that didn't happen either.
