Rogue Community College

In this region of Oregon, it seems like I hear more about animal poaching by local hunters than I do about violent crimes in town. Maybe that’s an exaggeration, but I just really feel that this is a safe area. If students aren’t convinced, I’d love to take them around myself through the local neighborhoods--wherever they want at whatever time they want. I usually encourage my clients to get a feel for the community before they settle down in it; experiencing a neighborhood for themselves will either affirm or sway their feelings about their choice. In the case of Grants Pass, I think you will feel right at home when you walk through the city. The views of the nearby mountains and nature in Grants Pass are simply tremendous. It’s a place where you can admire the views, breathe in the fresh air, and realize just how beautiful of an area you live in. Students who are new to the area will love exploring all the natural areas around the region. I’d personally recommend the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest, it’s just a 15 minute drive from campus and you could easily spend a day or two there, maybe even a whole weekend. But really, everywhere you look there’s nature to be explored, whether it’s a 15 minute drive or an hour drive past the California border.
