If I could choose a ZERO star as the rating, I would. The apartments did not provide a microwave, there were black widow spiders living right outside my door & I got poison ivy from the overgrown bushes in front of the apartment because "management" refused to trim them more than once every 3-4 months. When I got into the apartment, it was filthy. The upstairs neighbor smoked in the middle bathroom so my entire place always smelled disgusting. When I left, "management" informed me that there would be a "small, mandatory fee for carpet cleaning." This, however, was not in the lease. After many weeks of calling Robbie Gaston (the apartment manager) trying to get my $500 deposit money, I received a check that had my name misspelled & was written for $210. Apparently there was a $50 carpet cleaning fee & a $100 apartment cleaning fee which Robbie failed to mention. Neither of these fees were in the lease contract. I kept my apartment clean & left it cleaner than when I got there. So what happened to other $350? I called & Glenda Gaston (the mother of Robbie Gaston & receptionist) & she stated that since the prices of the cleaning service went up, they had to go up on their fees. I told her that these fees were not in the contract & that the company raising their prices had nothing to do with why I didn't receive my full $500 back. Glenda just kept repeating herself. Needless to say, I did not receive my full deposit back. That's just bad business. I will never stay in any Southern Shore Property ever again nor will I recommend anybody staying here.

Wonderful location, and beutiful apartments... so where did 4 (WOULD TAKE OFF 5 IF POSSIBLE) stars go? Manegment. Manegment REFUSES to follow up on noise complaints, or as I recently discovered, install A/C unit filters prior to renting out an apartment, there had never been a filter installed prior to us moving in, no telling what particulates I could have been subject to inhaling before I discoved this fact (I did in fact develop a cough, my first week, hmmm...). I was having an issue with a neighbors dog screaming its head off for hours. I called the office several times, to no responce. I finnaly track down the emergency number, call it several times to no avail, until finally getting someone to pick up. Only to be told "Sorry about the noise." Without any follow up. Did manegment take down a complaint? No. Did manegment call the individual and let them know they were disturbing the peace? No. So when it comes to manegment, it is a "SORRY" situation. Would strongly advise renters to seek a different property with capable and caring manegment.
