It might seem strange at first to have classes with such different people than what you’ll find at the typical college, but hopefully it will enrich and enliven the classroom and your learning environment. You’ve undoubtedly heard that it’s always raining in Seattle, but that’s patently false. If you look at the list of cities with the highest rainfall every year, Seattle isn’t on it. The reason people say that is because it’s overcast here a lot, especially during the winter. So can the weather be gloomy? Sure, but it’s not any worse than the blizzards and freezing cold in the Northeast and Midwest during that time of year.
