Trinity International University

Deerfield is one of the safest places you can go to college in the entire country. According to the community safety website Neighborhood Scout, it has a crime rate that’s lower than 76% of U.S. cities (of all sizes). When you narrow this down to just towns and cities its size, you’ll see that it’s one of the safest areas in the country. For example, the odds of falling victim to a violent crime are just one in 4574, which is astoundingly low. Western and southeastern Deerfield are the safest parts of town, although you really can’t go wrong in any neighborhood here. As Trinity’s name suggests, the school has tried to foster a global community on its campus. As a result, you will meet students from all over the country, and the world, here. This student body is also diverse because of how many different programs are offered at Trinity. There’s an undergraduate liberal arts college, a graduate school, and a theological seminary. Most students here are religious, as the college is run by the Evangelical Free Church of America. Trinity strongly encourages students to participate in religion, as two of its five main core values are “Christ centeredness” and “Church connectedness.”
