Before anyone looking at these reviews decides this isn't a good place to live, I would like to leave a good review for ya'll to consider.
1) Allot of people only write reviews to complain.
2) Allot of these negative reviews are old, and Quail Run has changed allot in 10 years.
3) I went to view these apartments for myself. They are older looking on the outside, but no more than the average suburban house you drive past. They're very clean looking, lots of greenery, and has a nice homey feel.
4) They are very fantastic on their pet policy, keeping feces off the grass and having dogs on leashes.
5) You can purchase a renovated apartment. They're all not outdated. (And the outdated ones are still nice, cheaper too.)
6) Rent is going up EVERYWHERE! They're average for what this economy is. Everywhere in Columbus is expensive for rent. This place is on the cheaper end, and very conveniently located here in town.
7) Money. Read the lease!! Allot of these reviews are people breaking leases early expecting the world to abide by their needs, without caring for the contact they made with Quail Run. Breaking your lease requires you to pay the 60 day notice and a few months rent. That's normal! Sign a shorter lease if you don't intend to stay long. And don't sign the lease if you can't afford it. That's not their fault.
8) If you intend to move out when your lease is ending, sign a 60 day notice two months before. That's the standard almost everywhere. Otherwise, you'll have to pay two months rent when you move out. That's apart of your agreement. It's not a big deal, just give proper notice!
9) They pay water, trash, and sewer. That's great!
10) Management. They go through a call center, so you'll hear back with them after a day or two. If it's more urgent, go in person. My experience was great with them. Very kind, relaxed, and helpful.
11) I saw one review saying they have mildew and roaches lol. They spray for bugs and rodents occasionally. That's a precaution to keep the place clean. It's literally in the lease saying this! As for mildew, they're buildings from the 70's. IF mold or mildew pops up, they'll take care of it.
12) I know this should be known, but to new apartment leasers, you should make 3 times what your rent is. If your apartment is $1,050, then you should make $3,150 a month. And you need to have some savings to help with moving in! Otherwise you shouldn't move here. It'll be too expensive.
Overall, I do recommend this place. It has its ups and downs, but no more than any other apartment. Make up your own opinion after viewing it in person, rather then read all the bad experiences people have had with their finances. I promise, there are just as many good experiences too.
