I've been a resident for nearly 3 years now, and will have been a resident for 4 by the time I have to move. I came to The Ridge on recommendation of a good friend, and I have no regrets! The management and maintenance teams are really excellent, and nothing but kind (even when I pester them). They even helped me add my spouse with no fuss! Super efficient and smooth.
Overall the community is very quiet/family-oriented, and its being right across from Wolf Pen is hugely convenient and fun (lots of events put on by the city). Landscaping is kept neat and presentable. The gates can be a little wonky (though they've much improved over the last year or so) and unfortunately there's only a keypad on the right side, but I don't find it enough of an inconvenience to really complain about. The gates *are* helpful during those park events and keeping the parking lot mostly clear.
We don't find it to be noisy, but we do live in an upstairs apartment (so, sorrywe're probably the noisy ones!).
I think many of the units are currently undergoing some mild renovations (faux wood laminate, large fixtures, etc), and the maintenance team is always super courteous when they need to stop by for work/repairs.
This complex is on a bus route (short walk) and convenient shopping is only a few minutes away. Cost is a little bit of a pinch for just one person, but roommates make it much better. Definitely a gem in College Station. I'll miss The Ridge a lot when I have to move next year!

I don't have any huge complaints. Maintenence is timely, office was friendly and helpful, living spaces were well kept, regardless of their age. The only actual issues I had were mostly of my own fault (ex: not cleaning often eniugh).
Be warned, this is 4 stars because I mentioned age, the fridges, plumbing, water heater, etc. are all fairly old. Maintenence had to come down a few times to keep things in shape. It stays 4 stars because I was never charged for anything that wasn't my fault and again things were fixed in a timely fashion and were fixed properly.
Rent is also a bit pricey if you're going to stay in a single bedroom, though I believe this to be due to the fact that there are quite a few families that stay in one bedrooms here because it's so quiet, and the rent in that case is super cheap.
Great place to live. Quiet and clean, very responsive staff, and a great location in college station. By far my favorite apartment to date.

I have lived here for two years now, and have already signed a lease for a third year. The apartment is quiet and next to the park (which is great since a lot of fun community events are there). It's very quiet with mostly families and upperclassmen (or graduate students). It's pricey though, and I was had to get a roommate cause I couldn't afford the $800 for the smallest one bedroom (hence only 4/5). Also, College Station utitlites make it a bit more expensive (though it's not their fault). However, I am really glad that I could stay at the Ridge. Management is very nice, maintenance is very quick in fixing things. Make sure you pay your rent on time, though. Interest rates are pretty crazy.

After stayed in three different apartment complex, this one is by far the nicest one to live. I have no trouble during one year of stay. The front office is always nice and helpful. The inside is relatively clean. We never had any bug issue, not even a roach. Most importantly, we got almost all the deposit back after moved out!
Absolutely will recommend it to everyone!

Had a wonderful 2 years here. Maintenance was quick to fix any problems we had, which for the most part were all minor, like the dining room light going out. Management was also very kind and helpful when anything else went wrong. The whole complex is well kept, residents are kind and keep to themselves. I felt very comfortable living there. We didn't have upstairs neighbors for a year, but once we had them we realized that the ceiling is quite thin. However you definitely get used to it, and it makes for a great topic of conversation with your roommates and guests. If you live in the first floor, be aware that people below you may know when you're opening drawers or what your vacuuming routine is. If you live next door to someone, don't blast Evanescence at 2 in the morning because someone next door will most likely recognize it and judge you. ;) That being said, I would have gladly stayed longer if I hadn't been moving cities. If you sign your lease early and you can get some decent early sign up discounts.

I lived at The Ridge a year ago, and after writing a review for Parkway Place (where I currently live), I felt it fair to write a review for The Ridge. Overall, I have no complaints about the apartment. The place is very quiet, a huge plus. The rent for a two bedroom was also a nice price. Anytime I needed to talk to someone in the front office, or needed maintenance, they all helped me as friendly and efficient as they could. My only gripe would be that I lived downstairs and the floors are then, so I would hear the person above me walking a lot. But after I got used to that, things were not bad at all. The gate also barely ever works, but I found that more helpful than hurtful. Overall a great value.

I have not much to complain about when it comes to the Ridge. The staff was always friendly and helpful and the maintenance tried to do everything they could to fix whatever problem we had. The landscaping is pretty well kept as well. I enjoyed how quiet it stayed and the neighbors were never much of an issue.
Cons: It is pricey for one bedrooms, get roommates if you want to live here. The gate isn't really worth it, it hardly ever works and people tend to follow each other in or I've seen pedestrians push through. Also, the code for it changes very rarely. The gate is just a ruse really. If you have a pet and end up with a flea infestation, you will get no help or sympathy. Makes sense, but still a pain. The floors are a little thin and you can hear the elephants upstairs, but usually stays quiet in the bedrooms.
Other than that, I've been very happy with this apartment and if I had the money I would live here again.
