I have lived here for the past year and it has been a pleasure. Management under Lisa, Shelly, and the rest of the team has made living here fantastic and enjoyable experience. The work done by the maintenance team should also not go unnoticed. When you put in a work order, they come as soon as they can and do a wonderful job at it as well. I have lived at previous places where maintenance would 1) Never show up and have to constantly be reminded or 2) Do a very shoddy job. Do not take a good maintenance team for granted. The community is quiet and feels very homey and safe with the families that live here. I would recommend anyone wanting to live here that enjoys a quiet and safe environment. Unfortunately, I have to leave due to them not being able to stay competitive. If I were to renew, I would be paying approximately $125 dollars more than the person who were to sign a lease for the same style of unit as me. I am sure there are logistical reasons why it is like this, but for lack of better words, I feel like people who renew get the shorter end of the stick.

My husband and I lived at the Madison Pointe Apartments for 3 years, and overall it was an excellent experience. Maintenance was typically on time and fairly responsive. The emergency line (which we did have to use on one or two occasions) works well into the night. Appliances which came with the apartment matched (all black) and were brand new, as agreed upon in the lease (we did pay a little extra for that). New carpets were installed prior to our moving in and the walls were uniformly. I personally have a high standard of what clean means, so I did spend some time cleaning after we moved in, but I fully acknowledge that as unnecessary. Amenities we used most were the pool, gym, dog parks, and study suite all were usually well-maintained. When a given amenity was out of order, the front office team did their best to make accommodations for me. Speaking of accommodations, my medium sized (but slightly over the 30 lb. weight limit) dog AND ferrets were allowed for the duration of our stay. Do be prepared for rent to increase with each new lease signed. Madison Pointes prices were the best in the immediate BCS area for a one-bedroom apartment, but rose to typical area prices by the time we left ($800s range). We didnt have an issue with roaches in our building (only saw three wood roaches which are not infestive during our stay) but did have a mild carpenter ant problem on an annual basis, mostly in the spring. Our AC unit did go out once, but it was replaced after maintenance had tried their best to repair it. While it is out of the propertys control, there are some rough areas around. I recommend getting locking wheel nuts for your vehicles (one of my husbands wheels was stolen, rim and all). However, this was the only isolated crime we saw in the complex while we lived there. Its an otherwise very quiet, family-friendly environment. There were many times that I walked around alone late at night with my dog on study breaks, and I cant recall ever feeling unsafe. Lisa and I walked the apartment a final deep clean (ask the front office staff for advice on that), and she was up front with me about what would need to be replaced in the apartment. Because we have pets the carpet would need to be replaced, which is a standard procedure for them. All in all, we would recommend living here to a friend, and have.

Generally, this is a nice apartment, with good staff and maintenance, and is on the bus route. One thing that should be improved is the pest control and possibly environment cleaning. Having compared with friends living in other apartments, Madison Pointe appears to have more flies and other bugs when it gets warmer. Every day I have to battle with more than one flies flying into my apartment whenever I enter or leave, every day. Some of my friends live in this apartment also complain about this. Besides, the apartment should try harder on restricting tenants with pets as poops are easily found on the property, which is another potential reason for the flies. And as a current tenant, I recently learned that there will be a significant increase on the rent for my new leasing term, which I absolutely don't appreciate, I mean, this is definitely not the way to keep and reward your loyal tenant, right? Other than that, it is a good apartment for new renters, as they offer special discounts to them.

The staff was initially very helpful and willing to work with me, being a freshman looking for a place to live that was cheap and close to campus. They walked us through the model apartment and then proceeded to help fill out all the paper work, but that was the end of their helpfulness. The unit which I moved into was nothing like the model. The cabinets were falling apart, the countertops were deteriorating near the sink due to leaking water, the outdoor storage closet was full of holes and was disgusting. The carpet which was old and work out had stains all over the place and had a strange odor to it. Also the units are extremely non energy efficient. With the air conditioning set at 76 which is warmer than Id like to be, our lowest electric bill was $126 which was in February. The bill got as high as $210 in the summer due to the old ac unit and cheap windows. But despite all these issues, my roommate and I stuck it out for the year because there was no way out of the lease. When we went to move out and turn in our keys we were notified of multiple charges on our account for a broken window blind which was broken when we moved in, and for a missing light fixture which we never saw. They also hit us with a cleaning fee, because apparently we didnt clean it good enough. The point being, they are great up until the point you sign the lease, then all they want is more money.

Lived here for about a year. Only moved because my wife and I wanted a bit of a bigger place and a second bedroom. Our year here was nothing short of fantastic. Any issues we had with appliances or just in general were also taken care of quickly and completely. All the office staff and everyone working there were nothing short of professional and always went out of their way to make sure things got taken care of. For the price especially, it was a very nice place to live. I would highly recommend it!

I'm a graduation student, so I enjoy this complex because it's quiet. It also has families. The maintenance is generally pretty fast when responding to requests too.

My only major requirement when looking for an apartment for grad school was a quiet place to come home to and Madison Pointe has exceeded my expectation in that regard. I walk my dog a few times a day and sometimes as late as midnight. Never, in nearly two years, have I had to deal with a sketchy situation or belligerent undergrads. As another reviewer mentioned, it's not the newest or the nicest, but it has decent amenities and a good family oriented community. Management is timely with requests and the few guys doing grounds are always friendly and willing to chat.

I am a graduate student at TAMU. This place is extremely quit with a mix of families and college students living in the area. Rent is very affordable. It is not the newest or the nicest place to live in college station but the complex is extremely WELL KEPT. Staff and maintenance are really nice and know what is going on. Kids are always outside playing during the 5 o'clock hour. They also let me keep a dog that I found that any other apartment would have rejected. Note: BB (my dog) was a well mannered and friendly 60 lbs pit bull mix. I would highly recommend this place!!!!
