Xavier University

Xavier promotes commuting by bike with its program Bike XU, where students can rent a bike for the semester for just $10. They also have bike racks outside of every building on campus. If students live too far away from campus to bike, there are also buses that are run by Cincinnati Metro, and a shuttle service that Xavier operates around campus and to nearby neighborhoods. The school also has a program called Ride Board, which helps students create carpools with other students. Overall, it’s tough to find a better public transportation system than Xavier’s. Being an Xavier student from November to March can be a thrilling experience. Xavier is well-known for its nationally ranked basketball team, which is consistently successful despite the school’s small size. There’s no better nightlife experience in the area than going to one of the Musketeer’s sold-out home basketball games. But for non-sports fans, Cincinatti is just four miles south of the university and is a popular destination for students on the weekend. There are also plenty of on-campus events and parties thrown by students and school-recognized organizations.
