The quality of apartments is top notch. Unfortunately the new management team, Gaslight Properties, has degraded the quality of the Whitfield to the point where I would recommend living anywhere but The Whitfield. Management has made it very clear that they do not have the tenants best interest. I requested that management alert me via phone or email if they found a tenant to assume the last month of my lease after moving out in November. I was never notified and only learned that I owed rent after receiving a notice from a collection agency in late March. Throughout this process, management refused to accept any fault. They were unresponsive and apathetic to my legitimate concerns. The fact that management is unable or unwilling to follow simple requests from former tenants should paint a picture of the level of service one unfortunately should expect here. There is a legitimate issue with the quality of management here. They make it very clear that they do not care about their tenants. They are unwilling to complete simple tasks that make life significantly easier on their tenants. Be very careful about moving here. The quality of the apartment is not worth the hassle of dealing with the management team.

This place used to be good when managed by Village Green. Gaslight properties has taken over the management since then. I don't think I need to explain how gaslight works. Their horrible reputation speaks for itself. They take off facilities one by one pointing the fingers at the residents. The new so called "24 hour maintenance" doesn't even pick-up the phone at night anymore. Don't get fooled by the good looks.

The Whitfield was a beautiful property when it first opened and was managed by Village Green. Loud college students were the only issue. Gaslight properties took over and quality went down substantially. Dirty, trash filled, and staff is unresponsive and unprofessional. Oh, and all the positive google reviews are from a promotion Village Green hosted while managing the property. They are not accurate of the current state of The Whitfield.

The Whitfield was a beautiful property when it first opened and was managed by Village Green. My actual apartment was energy efficient and luxurious. The only issues were a recurrent leak coming from the apartment above me and the amount of loud college students due to proximity to the college. Unfortunately, Gaslight properties took over and it went downhill. The property was constantly dirty and trash was everywhere. The maintenance man was probably the most unfriendly person Ive ever met. Staff including Sarah (the property manager) were unprofessional and non responsive. Before renewing, I called Gaslight to inform them of the new issues since they took over so I could be confident in renewing and the director of property management, Gidget, would not even call me back. I chose not to renew and after receiving my final bill, I had questions on charges. They became hostile and refused to answer my questions. I reached out to the old property manager with Village Green and even though she was no longer with the Whitfield, she called me back the same day and was happy to answer my questions, thats customer service! Please be warned, they are the worst property management company in Cincinnati. They cater most of their properties to low cost renters and college students they can bully.
