Staff are responsive and accommodating. Overall, a nice community to live in that is really convenient to other attractions in the city. Deer Hill is also really committed to providing a safe and clean community for their tenants. A very positive, almost three years here.

I lived here for almost two years and I enjoyed my stay here. However, the water and electricity is EXTREMELY high. My electric bill was almost $120-150 a month and I don't see how. I worked during the day and it was only myself and my baby daughter living there! My current apartment now I'm only paying $75 (2 bedroom). They also split the water bill with all the residents in the building which is unfair. I paid $80 a month for water... that's almost as much as a house! They also increased my rent after a year of me living there. My neighbors were quiet but friendly. I had dog and there are tons of dog stations throughout the complex, which is very convenient. Of course, you'll get the occasional paper for residents to make sure they clean up after their pet but that is at any apartment that allows pets. Deer Hill management is always making sure they keep the grounds safe and well kept/maintained. There is only 1 Washer and 1 Dryer per building. However, they are card operated instead of using quarters which is very nice. The AC units are horrible and very old (at least mine was). It doesn't get colder than 73 degrees. If you live towards the woods, the spiders/bugs are always finding their way into the apartment. The pool area was always kept clean as well as the little gym inside. You have to make sure your car is perfect, they won't accept any dents.. no matter how tiny (which was a little ridiculous). My 1st car got approved when I was moving in and then 1 month later I got a notice saying I needed to get the tiny dent fixed or else it would be towed. They should ease up on that. I loved the walk in closet and 2 bathrooms I had. Lots of parking space which is always a plus. Overall nice apartment, but very high for utilities on the east side.

I have been living at Deerhill for almost 6 months now and it has been a wonderful experience. The ladies in the office are super accommodating and helped make my move from Columbus extremely easy. My unit was clean however, I had mentioned upon moving in that I was not satisfied with the condition of the carpeting in the apartment and it was replaced by the next morning, just amazing! I also live in a unit adjacent to the pool area which is very nice in the summertime and it never gets too loud. The community itself is quiet and well kept. There are events throughout the year such as pool opening parties and pumpkin carving contests which really seem to bring people together. The maintenance man Dean also does a wonderful job and usually issues are resolved within just a couple days if it is not urgent. I would definitely recommend this community!

Management and maintenance are not helpful and any repairs or issues that need to be addressed either get ignored or poorly patched up. The cost of rent is much too high for what you end up getting.
