Our experience here left only positive impressions; the apartments are very spacious and freshly renovated, with all amenities inside - a dryer and a washing machine. Watch out! We were given 45% rent increase year to year and basically had to move out. They have no problem hiking prices to the absolute limit they think people can tolerate or cutting services as they like. Its a large corporation with profit as an absolute priority with no regard to tenants and it shows.
The typical lease contract you receive here is totally one-sided only mentioning your obligations and listing penalties, but none of the landlords obligations are in it at all. They do allow pets, although paying 200$ pet fee and then 25$ each month on top of that is more often than not just a pure profit for them in an unfurnished apartment. You also have to pay 200$ to steam clean the carpets no matter how clean they are when moving out. Something the company should 100% do themselves when preparing the apartment for their new tenants. Move out inspection is very thorough, but was fair in our case and we received most of the deposit back.
It is objectively a nice place to live with good access to town and quite a lot of green spaces. The bottom bungalow apartments have good temperature control, not hot in summer and not too cold in winter (although the furnace struggles to heat to more than 20C during the -30C periods). The neighborhood seems pretty quiet, although my car was broken into twice in two years with minor damage and some stuff stolen (was not locked once to be fair). Kitchens are very small, especially in the bottom units. The property has terrible service (leaks and ceiling stains taking forever to repair, old appliances, interruptions to service...) and is just terribly overpriced now.
Also very high utility bills as the building are just old and badly insulated, especially the larger upper apartments.

Even though I don't live here, I wanted to leave a review for Olivia. She has been incredibly helpful as I prepare to move to another property owned by this company. Although she's temporarily working at The Pointe, I wish she could stay there! Olivia has been nothing but kind and supportive throughout the process. If you have the opportunity to work with her, you'll be in great hands! You won't be disappointed!

The level of proactive client care and service is second-to-none. These guys really 'get' what it feels like to be a renter looking for a place to call home, and their responsive and timely communications reduced my anxiety and gave me more peace of mind, knowing that someone was looking out for my best interests. April was very genuine yet professional in all of her dealings with me in person, over the phone, and by email. And the suites themselves are clean and very attractive. A great value for dollar, with a great management team at your service. Highly recommended!

I came by to view the property on Friday. The suites look well kept, and its nice to see and hear about the renovations they are currently working on. Really seems like staff cares there, staff was also incredibly friendly and warm, as are people who live there. Not to mention all amenities are close by and it is a well developed community. Love the way the property looks with the large trees and well kept lawns.

While I have not rented or lived at this place, I am writing this review based on my interaction with Olivia. I called to find out about the rental options. Having spoken with numerous property management staff, Olivia stands out as the best and most helpful by far. While relocating from US to Canada can be challenging, she gave me a full picture of the place, the leasing process, community, amenities, differences between the different layouts, the neighborhood, commute options, events and talked about the important things I should be aware of. What else could you ask for? Kudos to Olivia and Weidner properties should be proud to have such an amazing staff. Best.
