I lived here for five years, recently moved out in July. It's not the worst place to live in Burnsville, but it's not the best. Some good points: - The office was responsive to maintainence requests, for the most part. - While they do allow pets, the grounds are kept pretty clean of dog poo -The units themselves are nicely renovated, and look decent Some bad points: -Parking. It's terrible. You can rent half a garage for extra money, but it may not be very close to your building. If you don't rent a garage, there will be times, if you are coming home late at night, that there will literally not be a single parking spot in the entire complex. Not one. Also, the parking spots are so narrow that if too vans or SUVs park next to each other, they can both be in the lines and you still can't get in your car doors. The parking lot isn't well maintained in the winter, I got stuck many times, even in my SUV with 4x4 and new tires. I also slipped and slid down the hill on the south side, where I had to park, because they don't salt properly. -The toe tow company they hire to tow unauthorized cars is very aggressive. I was towed three times in five years, depsite having a parking pass from day one. Once, and the most infuriating, was when we had our car parked alongside the curb with the trunk open as we were packing to go on an interstate trip in the morning with our kids. They towed the car in the five minutes it took my husband to run upstairs and grab another load. $350 and a three hour delay on the trip the next morning. Good times. -Cars get broken into all the time, regardless of whether or not you lock your doors. My sons gas got siphoned out of his gas tank. My husband's battery got ripped out of his engine after they broke the lock to get into the car. Report to the office and they say they'll "keep an eye on it." They refuse to put up surveillance cameras. -In the building I lived in, the 33 building, the hot water goes out constantly in the winter. Twice daily. There were times where I had to boil water and mix it with cold for my baby's bath. -They won't turn on the heat in the buildings until October 15th, and they turn it off on April 15th. This past April 15th, we had 12 inches of snow on the ground. It sucked. So I would say, all in all, it's an ok place to live, if your only other option is your car or under a bridge.
