Find a Bremerton Apartment

Situated on the Kitsap Peninsula, Bremerton is a small city on the west coast. 17 miles of water separate Bremerton and Seattle, and a regular ferry connects the two cities. Although just fewer than 40,000 people live in Bremerton, there is a higher education option right in town through Olympic College.

Since the 1990s, Bremerton has been on a long-term quest to revitalize the downtown core of the city. Greater efforts were made to induce tourism into the area, and the opening of a conference center in 2000 was also designed to increase traffic coming into town.

When to Search

Bremerton has a lot of vacant apartments. The standard length of time that people moving here give themselves to find a place is roughly 6 to 8 weeks. If you're looking for a high-demand place, such as a one bedroom apartment close to the university, you may want a little extra time.

Staying in the Know

Ask lots of questions of your Bremerton landlords before you sign a lease. Make sure that it is the right fit before you move in. Also, always ask to have a moment and read over a lease in full before you sign anything. This is a very important step that needs to not get overlooked by first time apartment hunters.

Life in Bremerton

Transportation

The local transit service can be used to navigate Bremerton. However, Kitsap Transit also provides good connections between Bremerton and the surrounding communities. This gives users of the system some freedom to easily visit nearby towns even without access to a car. Although most of the locals do own a car, the size of the city and the transit system mean that it is certainly possible to get along without one.

Where to play

Most of the places where one might head out for a night on the town are centered in the downtown core, and are within an easy walk of each other. Pacific Avenue is home to a couple of new bars that are well worth checking out. The Waterfront area is also a beautiful place for a walk. If you're lucky enough to be in town at the end of August, check out the County Fair and Rodeo.
