Do not pick the apartments that are street side.
I made the mistake of taking one that is street side and right above the garage.
The apartments themselves are really nice, probably one of the nicer ones in Bloomington. However, occasionally its hard to sleep here. My unit is street side and the windows are not the appropriate type to filter out noise. You hear cars passing all night non-stop and the sirens also sometimes all night because they have to pass by the building to get to the questionable part of town south of here. The worst is this waste management system they have. Theres a truck that backs up to the building (right next to your bedroom window) that uses a super loud mechanical rig to pick up individual garbage cans as opposed to a dumpster system. This process takes 30 minutes, and happens multiple times per week. Just insanely loud mechanical noises clanking around right next to the bedrooms. This usually happens right after the sirens in the middle of the night stop so its a steady stream of noise all night.
Quality interior but when you have exams and you cant get sleep because theres so much noise non-stop, makes your question your decision. I tried to get ear plugs and theyre not strong enough and the ones that are, are uncomfortable to sleep in. Not sure if all this is their fault but i wouldnt have come here if I knew that. Need noise cancelling windows or something and the place would be perfect

Midtown Lofts is a great place to reside. It's secure, friendly, the staff is courteous and always provides top notch customer service. Maintenance requests are typically handled in a timely manner, and I've never had an issue with neighbors or the management team. Very understanding and work to ensure you have an enjoyable experience as a community resident.
