This is my third year renting from this apartment complex. It was all fine until this year. The management does NOT care about fixing things, or the inconvenience it causes you. I WOULD RENT SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I hate living here I can not wait to move out! The maintance staff is so awful! My toilet was clogged and needed to be snaked and they said that wasn't an emergency so they would get to it when they can. So I had to drive to the local Walmart to use the bathroom. If I could move out right now I would. Also they do not even read the roommate matching me and my roommate are like night and day and do not get along at all. The gym area is small and half the time non of the equipment works. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

This place makes me feel bad! ! ! I felt angry at this place. I stayed here for a year. I'm glad I'm leaving this place in August. First, we negotiate with the property when we sign the contract. We need two sets of houses that are next to each other because we have eight partners. Connotation promised us, but! ! They did not achieve it. Under my understanding, my other friends encountered the same problem. They are also separated. Second, when we registered, we requested apartments that live on the second floor and above, but! ! ! The property gave us the first floor and now my room has a lot of bugs. Outside the windows on the first floor there are flowers and in the summer there are many bees. This makes me very troubled. Third, when we registered, we were misled and chose to pay for parking spaces. However, since we stayed here, they have not mentioned this issue to me. They gave me an ordinary parking permit and continued to charge. When I discovered this problem, I came to the property to find help. The front desk recorded my problem very friendly and did not help me. I will still be charged until next month! ! ? ? ? When I was looking for management, they doubted the authenticity of my problem and repeatedly asked me to check my license to ensure that they did not make mistakes. Until I provided all the photos to the managers, they promised to cancel the next month's fees. but! ! They will not give me the cost before returning. I did not enjoy the proper parking spaces and it was their fault. They refuse to admit it. I am sorry for this place. Finally, the electricity bill made me understandable. In the first few months, our electricity bill was maintained at $150. Even if we often use air conditioning. but! ! ! In the last winter vacation, I was alone at home, and my electricity bill reached $300. In the following month, the electricity bill was still $300 until we completely shut down the air conditioner. This change was sudden and huge, which made me very shocked and unacceptable. My advice is to stay away from this place. Its service is not as imaginative as it is irresponsible! And so on, during the last winter vacation, the door of our laundry suddenly fell. It hurt my friend. I confirmed that we didn't touch it, and that its junction was broken. I have a suspicion of this place, it will enter my blacklist with my friend. I will never live here again.

The end of March we were told an apt was not available and the girls would be dispersed to different apts. along witn 41 other students. Very poor management!!!!

It was nice when the old owners were here. The apartments are nice and I like the apartment itself but the new management is terrible. They raised rent, then decided to renovate and raised rent AGAIN to stay in my unit that was going to be renovated, then there was a big fiasco where they wouldnt guarantee that I could stay in my unit but still had to pay the higher rent. Maintenance is okay but sometimes they seem like they hate their job and hate you. Today they shut the water off to the entire community at 10:45 and didnt tell anyone until 11:15, after it was too late to fill up jugs to drink and wash hands. They said itll be off for a minimum of 5 hours but who knows with how things have been going. The whole point in living here was that it was decently cheap but now the connection doesnt really even have that going for it anymore. Unfortunately I signed my lease for the next term when rent was lower so Im stuck here, but when the lease is up, Im out.

I've lived here for 3 years and it's horrible. Let me just tell you SOME of my experiences over the years. 1. The apartments aren't really that clean when you move in, you can still have someone's stuff still in drawers and things like that. 2. You're suppose to get a notice that people are coming into your apartment. There have been MULTIPLE instances people just show up, luckily I was home. However! One time I didn't hear the door and they just walked right in. They never sent any type of email they were coming or put anything on the door. 3. Maintenance is slow and important. I promise you SOMETHING is going to break in your apartment. It's all cheap. My dryer, dish washer, AC, toilet has all broken and for all of them it took us having to bug them for them to even come up in a timely manner... ESPECIALLY for the AC that broke in the middle of the summer. 4. Black "stuff" grows in all of the bathroom drains. They claim it's just "dirty" but I've never seen this black stuff ever in my life. Just here at the connection. 5. The office staff can be friendly depending who you talk to, but management is truly useless. 6. They will find anything and everything to charge you for. They're definitely here to take your money. 7. When I moved in I was told every year you stay and resign your lease rent will go down. That's what kept me here for 3 years. However I'm now moving out because they started raising prices and I promise.. ITS NOT WORTH IT! 8. The "security guard" they have here is rude. I asked him a simple question about when the club house closed and he gave me a very rude response and laughed at me. 9. The hot tub has been broken forever. It's not even clean. It's truly disgusting. Half the equipment in the gym is broken. Last time I went to the computer lab, more than half the computers didn't work and the printer didn't work either. The pool table and ping pong table are both broken in the club house, make sure not to lean on them. Almost all the chairs at the pools are broken and the ones that you're suppose to be able to sit in in the water are never cleaned so they have definitely grown some bacteria. 10. The front gate is always broken. If you're looking for a safe place with a gate and security, this isn't the place. Anyone can come in or out.

I normally dont bother giving bad reviews but this time is different. If I could give this place no stars, I would. At first I loved the place. It had a convienient location and the office staff was nice. During move in, I noted that the carpet was terribly stained and when I left, I didnt bother cleaning a mess that I didnt make. A few weeks after moving out I was charged $200 + dollars for carpet cleaning services and for leaving trash in the living room. I spoke with someone and assured him that we didnt leave any trash and to please re-evaluate the charges. It basically seemed like it was their word against ours and they didnt care much about ours. I went back and forth with the guy until I got sick of it and gave up. I am upset and would not recommend this place to anyone. They just try and get as much money out of you as possible and honestly its overpriced for the amount of space you get. They also dont bother to clean any of the carpets before tenants move in but are quick to charge you for dirty carpets when you move out. Its pathetic.

As far as location, this complex is great. The transit ride alone is very convenient. Maintenance was always helpful and came quickly. The problems I have are with the room size, being that they are rather small and management. Upon moving out, I was charged for the replacement of my bedroom carpet and not returning a key (it was returned, but the workers in the office didn't file paperwork properly.) I had an area rug that covered my entire bedroom floor, yet management is claiming there are stains (NOT rips or tears, simply foot traffic from outside) bad enough to need a whole new carpet replacement. I emailed my concerns to management and they replied a week later saying the $225 is due in 2 days. I think The Connection is looking for any and every way to get your money. Be wary and GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING.

Please please make sure that any communication with management you get in writing!! especially if they tell you that move in can be done earlier due to specific circumstances!.... the pools and other amenities are nice n grounds are kept clean. i have upgraded stuff in my room for an extra amount per month and i like the furniture they give you for that. one thing is the way the lease is drawn up didn't include one of the surcharges i would be taking over (i subleased to live here). however the positives are the front desk workers are helpful and friendly, great location to be close to campus but not directly off.. but the gym could definitely use an upgrade

The rent isn't bad for what you get. My apartment is clean and hasn't had any issues. Management can be tough to deal with, but it's even worse at most other places. The key is to go to the office yourself and speak with someone in person, and keep coming back. I had trouble even signing my lease; errors with the website and repeated phone calls with different staff. But on my first visit about the issue everything was sorted out and on the second I had my lease signed.

Even though the apartments are considerably nice, they're not nice enough to make up for the cost of rent. With mold on the walls, rust in the sink, thin walls, and stains in the carpet, I would not consider this a luxury apartment. You can't even call it a gated complex. The gate is either always open or it won't even let you in at all. On top of that, the Connection management does not follow the proper rules and regulations. Originally I thought I had only signed for a sublease of six months until six months later when I thought I would be moving out, I was informed I actually automatically signed for a whole new year when I had signed for the first lease. Signing two leases at once is illegal. And then after turning down the first two people who wanted to sublease for me, they turned down the third applicant for his age even though he was a student at Auburn. This is age discrimination and also illegal. And finally with our fourth applicant, even though he passed, they made him pay the entire year up front. Also illegal. The office is absolutely rude and disrespectful. Do not live here. The only plus is they have nice pools but it definitely isn't worth it. And they will make it nearly impossible to leave once you do sign.

Overall I Like living at the connection. The facilities are very nice. My only complaint is that sometimes when it comes to dealing with management or resolving issues the process is not as efficient as it could be. I have been told things by the assistants then it has not been executed because i was told the wrong information, or I ve requested an issue be handled and had to pester them to get a response. Maintenance does come in a timely manner but do not always resolve the issue the first time. I also wish the walls were not as thin because you can hear everything above you and in your apartment. For the price i pay other than when i have issues with management i would say it is a good deal.
