Very upset with this complex right now. They chopped down several one hundred year old trees behind our apartment. We renewed our lease before knowing all this construction was going to happen. We wont be able to park at our building for the remainder of our year long lease. It just hurts to see such a beautiful array of trees be chopped down when this complex was supposed to be about the environment.
My whole building has expressed their anger over this construction to management and they really have done nothing in response to how much noise the construction is causing or that we will have to park a mile away. The trees are all gone.

Management and staff are friendly until you sign the lease, as soon as you're a resident they simply can't care less about you and your concerns. The until is very very old doesnt worth any thing dont move there you can found a lot Apartment near to cheaper than 2 times.
They are a lot of rappers they stolen a lot of thing on my front.
They say we refund 300$ when you bringing friends they lying they didnt gives any thing.
Toooooo many dogs around apartment every day some dogs Leaves the waste front and back yard and no one clean

One of the best renting experiences I've ever had. Not too many maintenance requests but when we had one, it was resolved the same day. The front office folks are great and always answer any/all questions I might have. The property itself is great. Tons of green space, right next to the river, always clean and a good size dog park. The price was fair for living in Atlanta. The ONLY small issue (read: VERY small) is during "outdoor" holidays (memorial day, July 4th, etc) it can get pretty crowded with people inviting friends, but I guess that what happens when you have a place like this.

No elevators, so be prepare for leg workout when you move in.

For more serious issues, like AC: we've submitted 19 requests so far , they come next day, fix it and it breaks again in a few days or a week. Few years ago the whole building had a pest problem. It took battling with management and 2 years to take care of it finally... They also have thin soundproofing, I would really check your neighbors before moving in because if you live under a neighbor with an active large dog, or a young child that cries every morning and night(we experienced both)makes it impossible to sleep or live in peace.
Therefore, while there is no more beautiful place in Atlanta, and believe me, it is AMAZING for its nature and surroundings. For these fundamental issues it makes it unlivable for a longer amount of time.. And it is a shame for such issues to stain their reputation.

Gate get damaged occasionally but is repaired within a day in most instances. Highly recommend if you like the river. Apartments are older but many are in the process of renovation. I live in an older apartment but still think its worth the price.
Lived here for nearly 2 years. Excellent service, maintenance always prompt, clean and beautiful facilities. Love the river!

I have lived in Walton for a year and was a wonderful experience. It's location is perfect and the river makes it totally awesome. The facility is well maintained and is kept clean. The laundry, swimming, pools, coffee house is clean. But the apartments are too old. The kitchen appliances the carpets the washroom are very very old were as the prices are too high for what u get. In my apartment we had cockroaches and then a rat. The washroom clogged 3 times in a year. The dishwasher stopped working in few months too. The maintenance is quick thou but u don't pay a high price to see beautiful landscape from a old house. Also intially they might charge less but later they increase the rent almost by 100 $ per month.

Ive lived at Walton for a year and a half and Ive been happy with my experience. Life isnt perfect but the Walton team seem to try their best and follow through with small requests like helping to locate a delivered package or large requests in figuring out official leasing information. If my move-out is an awful experience Ill be sure to update this review, but given my experiences so far this apartment complex is lovely, with a dedicated team, fun week night events, and very safe.

Pros : coffee house, river view, garden, walk ways, swings , water fountains, pools. you can move from one Walton to another without breaking lease. Cons : maintenance is not up to the mark. They take ages to fix things.they fix only small issues.

Only thing that makes it frustrating to live here is the lack of accountability when a tenant has a problem. I've had a water leak at my window and reported it to the office twice last week and still there is mold growing on my window seal. When the maintenance guy stopped in he told me he'd be back but until then I should clean up the leaking water and mold. Seriously, since when are tenants responsible for cleaning up water damage from a problem not caused by the tenant? I know the owner reads these regularly, please consider contacting me directly so I can share my pics and experience with you. This is unacceptable I could be getting sick from this mold exposure. Thanks for your help.

I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons.
1 - Apartments are smaller (750* sqft for 1bedroom) and overpriced compared to ones nearby.

We visited my daughter who lives here and found it to be somewhat of an oasis in the middle of a busy city. The grounds are well kept and aside from the incessant traffic all around it is a peaceful place. The clubhouse is fantastic with a coffee shop and accommodating atmosphere inside and out.
I found her apartment to be a bit dated but I know she loves being close to work and able to come home to this almost rural retreat.
